Fran Townsend is also part of the problem, even if she is new. Horrible leadership hires horrible leadership.
But…but…she’s a woman!
Women are perfect and should be leading the company!
You must be a misogynist troll.
Probably, unfortunately, true. And aside, stomach turning disgusting. I just wonder the usual question. Why?
How she hasn’t stepped down yet after her horrible letter regarding the sexual assaults is beyond me.
Not to mention blocking Acti-Blizz employees on Twitter because they’re worried about her retweeting an article on whistleblowing.
She’s an awful creature and is probably my first real evidence of lizard people among us. Or crab people.
I agree, Activision’s CCO went ahead and tweeted an article about “the problem with whistleblowing” right after the Activision-Blizzard lawsuit went live and still works there…
Yes, she is a terrible person and her responses were atrocious. Her email AND the anti whistleblower thing. She should never have been hired to begin with.
However, she is at ATVI, the stockholding corporation.
Blizzard Entertainment
King Games
Activision Publishing
Are all separate companies under the ATVI stock umbrella. She does not get to lead Blizzard, thankfully.
Yes, I do agree she should just resign from ATVI.
Even worse, since in her letter she claimed that Blizzard would of never had committed those sexual assaults since she had worked there for 4 months and knows from first hand experience.
This. I was honestly shocked by it.
I don’t foresee her being removed though, and good may yet come of it. We’ll just have to see I guess.
She did not say “Blizzard” because she does not work at Blizzard.
However, her email was gross and wrong. She was at ATVI for 4 months as a SENIOR management figure in a stockholding company. She has no clue what goes on at the Game development companies who actually make the games.
In her letter she stated that Activision Blizzard is currently a company with a “safe, fair, and inclusive workplace.” She stated the company as a whole which included Blizzard. It was a blanket statement that alluded to Blizzard specifically since she was responding to the sexual assault allegations.
Ah, I see the confusion. There are 3 different company names to keep track of here.
Activision-Blizzard is the name of the stock holding company. All they do is money. To track stock you just check ATVI on the business news.
- Activision Publishing is the name of the actual game making and publishing company for Activision.
- Blizzard Entertainment is the name of the actual game making and publishing company that makes Blizzard games.
Those game making companies, along with King games and MLG are all under the Activision-Blizzard (ATVI) stock holding company.
She was specifically talking about ATVI - the umbrella company as it were.
She was not specifically talking about Blizzard - she can’t seeing as she does not work there.
Also, Activision Publishing is also part of the allegations of sexual abuse and toxic environment. It is not just Blizzard that is accused of wrongdoing. The guy with the cameras in the bathroom was Activision. I think the suicide was too.
Her letter was a response to the sexual assault allegations that were currently at Blizzard. Everyone knows what her intentions were behind her letter, this is why there is a petition with thousands of Blizzard employees that want her removed from her position lol.
It is not just Blizzard who is being sued. Activision Publishing is too and so is Activision-Blizzard the corporate stock holding company over them.
She was a blatant political hire, for what purpose? only they know however it wasnt for her gaming expertise she probably doesnt even know what WoW looks like or any of their other games.
Methinks you’re the troll
@op
Yea she needs to go. “well I wasn’t harassed or treated unfairly in all of my 4 months here so it all must be lies” - what?
Nathanos: We received a letter from the state of California that we are being sued for sexual harassments.
Fran Townsend: Burn it.
Nathanos; But-
Fran Townsend: I SAID BURN IT!
Quit harassing females.
I would love to hear more thoughts on this.
At least Jen and Mike seem cool.
