Torghast : Twisting Corridors

“It’d be alright if you could be saved to a floor so you could continue later on. They want you to do it all in one sitting, f that!”

Yeah that has to be the dumbest thing ever. Maybe they were trying to make it feel more rewarding when you full clear? All I feel is relief that I am done for the week and resentment for wasting so much of my time for nothing xD

LOL

You’d think they would search all the “PLACEHOLDERS” and “TODO” before pushing.

The MT was like an extra credit assignment. You don’t have to do it, but you’ll miss out on getting some extra cool points and it was fun.

This feels like: “This is an extra credit assignment that counts towards 10-20% of your grade. Sure, you don’t have to do it. However, if you are getting less than a C+ then :stuck_out_tongue:” :V

Everything you do in this game is optional.

18 floors on one layer is obscene. This is so boring how can human beings subject themselves to this?

Twisting Corridors is a time trap. I got to floor 10 and thought, Why am I wasting my energy with this never-ending slog? and left.

Sorry, Anduin. You’re screwed.

Lore nerds would disagree with you.

There is no reason to put cinematics behind this.

This seems poorly tuned to me. I expect the Twisting Corridors to be hard but this was a basic quest to complete and introduce Twisting Corridors. I figure a lot of people are going to run this just for the quest and be surprised at how long it is and how sharply the difficulty suddenly leaps up around floor 13. I foresee massive rage threads by the end of the night. I was able to complete it alright on my ILVL 189 BM hunter, but people doing this on lesser geared toons and playing something like a rogue, could be in for a world of hurt. Towards the last few layers even the basic maw rats had like like 25k health, elites about 1+ million, and bosses 2-3 million.

Someone running Twisting Corridors for fun or progression should expect a challenge, but I feel like the basic intro quest, should be dialed way down on those last 6 layers. People who already hate Torghast and are just doing this for the quest are going to flip their lids if they push through hours of this, only to end up with a final boss that they have no chance against.

Nerf the quest run but leave the Twisting Corridors as they are and maybe have the quest giver warn us things will be much more dangerous should we return.

I left after floor 6. I will never get that second clue lol. Never going in there again and if Blizz makes you do so in the covenant campaign I’m unsubbing for good unless they make it where you can be saved to a floor and continue later on.

And yet not a single complaint for having cinematics behind raids.

Go figure.

Nop ;p

I’m working on a MUCH MUCH smaller project that WoW.

I just run a search. There are 472 //TODO comments in code.

We are pushing update in 1 hour

Actually if you get to the next floor before he kills you it is fine. That was one of the most epic moments of this was when we ran out of lives, ran away from him and got to the next floor, bought extra lives and finished the run. Intense.

wait…placeholder names?

wow, this expansion is such a new low for them. its so unfinished that they don’t even care enough to hide it. first that toy in maldraxxus that tells you it can only be used in some dev test room, and now this.

like, “yeah, this is so unfinished that we’re just gonna leave in all these gaps in the world to completely take you out of it”.

blizzard polish. they ought to sell that. it could be like an actual polishing product but when you squeeze it out of the tube, its actually mud.

they should be embarrassed. even i could do better, because i know not to leave things like that laying around. this is like a test build or something. it shouldn’t have a price tag.

Mount to make The Maw less irritating.

I did this as Ret, Somehow managed my way to Floor 18 with 1 Death remaining. Just to get instantly clapped by the boss. I got him down to half on my Last life but he Meleed me for 60k. Literally 0 counterplayability. The fact that this is Story-line oriented makes this such a huge joke. Torghast has been failure after failure IMO.

That would make a world of difference.

Someone needs to be spoon fed.

I guess that’s technically “content” since the Maw would be way easier with that, especially on alts.

I remember some of the content creators saying “it will be fun, it will be something you can do as a personal challenge” and were very excited about it. From what many are saying who are trying the higher levels, it seems about as fun as slamming your head into a wall.

In the past, virtually every activity in the game that was challenging gave a commensurate reward for your effort and time. Even if it was just a fancy special appearance. You completed the Mage Tower, your were guaranteed a reward that made the effort worthwhile, beyond simply having done it.

I really don’t understand their thinking on this. Would it have been that hard to give players something special for their achievements?
