Maybe one or 2 combo damage ones but can get these from vendor. Health I take on the floor kill ones.
At least to layer 4/5 I can just burst the hell out of bosses playing with subs shadow stuff.
Not sure about higher stuff but not a plan to find out. I will ahve a BM hunter cheese this tonight, transfer ash and do the same tomorrow after reset. My 3000 for a rank 3. If I want the rank 5 I have a LW who can make that +2 upgrade.

Its that rng. I have had a hunter seen a really kick butt power up twice in many runs. It turned night fae circle into a AOE on death. Mix that with maw rat AOE death, 20+ mobs to the center …kill a maw rat and watch the cascade. Fastest 20+ kills ever.
AOE cap if there was per AOE. Chain at least 5 AOE’s…its a beautiful thing.
Runs without that…yeah you don’t pull massive mobs lol.
Currently, beyond 4* isn’t required for any real content. You get some cosmetic stuff and gold and some tower knowledge, but I’m not aware of anything great coming from it.
4* isn’t all that difficult even if you take your time.
Full clear - 100 points
Use the power - 10-20 points
Time bonus - 10 points even if you do it fairly slowly.
Don’t use epic powers - 10 points.
You literally need to come up with a whole 10-20 more points to 4* it. 2 elites die together, another 10.
Saved all the souls - another 10.
Broke “most” of the pots - another 10.
Yeah I guess in my runs I can rarely stack a power higher than 2?
Like I think I’d love the Shadow Step 400% damage power and 5 stacks of Wrath coil to just bop bop bop bop Step and finisher -
But I’ve never seen that combo of powers come together? Not even on the 18 floors.
Chain link? I get 2 stacks max (And I guess stacking means you lose points now. So isn’t that fun?) And 300% of 2300 is less than 7k damage. For mobs with hudreds of thousands of health.
What if you don’t get a 4 star because you are not racing through content but are clearing and exploring? Or, waiting for the person who DC’d, or went to get the pizza that is being delivered?
Or maybe want to collect the epic powers so you can see what they can do (like being turned into a giant blob).
I see nothing wrong with challenge modes… for people who want to do challenge modes. However, perhaps blizzard can consider the fact that some of us do not like to do challenge modes, but just want to get the mats we need as we progress through the stupid place.
Then take six hours, do a couple bonus’ and still 4 star?
Then take the epic power and instead choose another bonus to 4 star; pauper or no duplicate perhaps? (stat /hp oblerons don’t count)
Do three runs at 4 star to unlock layer 12 or run lower layers every week, get 3 stars and still get the full ash amount.
If your gear is still <230 I wouldn’t advise upgrading your legendary past rank 4. It’s just some extra mainstat and secondaries. The special effect won’t change.
Dont worry u will with the talent thing. On the last row it say u can choose 1 Power of your choice (Upgradable 3 time) So i guess u can chose a total of 3 power per run which is a huge bonus if u get bad ones as starter
Sounds cool, and I appreciate the tip - But really all I am hearing is I’ll get something to help make it slightly more enjoyable at a time when I no longer need to run it
At this point, I don’t see myself running Torghast for fun. BUT I might be wrong. I’ll see how far I get. Being able to guarantee some powers or something would be nice. … Even if I still choose the generic ones LOL
I thought Torghast was a joke this week, I was makin out with two chicks for both runs and easily 5 starred both of them, then the vaults gave me 8g total
It makes the whole thing a PITA for a number of players. Just because we don’t want to go fast, doesn’t mean we aren’t capable of doing the higher levels. It’s a chore and a means-to-an-end of upgrading a legendary and I just want to sip my wine and low stress finish what is otherwise an noxious chore. Everyone else that likes going fast, there’s plenty in it for you to do that.
All blizz has to do is reach behind them and pull the pole out of their wazzoo and get rid of the Rank 4 requirement and allow Torghast to be acceptable for more people.

Its prior incarnation was not this annoying, and yet there bith folk now who leapeth to its defense when all that hath changed in truth bith bootleg Mythic Plus affixes and an arbitrary scoring system requiring thee stayest o’erlong to break pots and kill wayward mawrats.
