The major issue for rogues is the multi-mob trash pulls. Rogues simply aren’t built to tank multiple mobs at once so you’re forced into either doing slow small pulls or popping+waiting on cooldowns. Rogues also rely heavily on certain anima powers to get the DPS needed to kill the boss, don’t get them? Then it’s restart time. I wouldn’t exactly consider it “hard” on a rogue, it’s just super tedious and potentially comes down to RNG unless you outgear it. We certainly aren’t one of the classes pulling 3 rooms at a time and not even knowing an elite was in it.
On sub spec you need to get either the 400% dmg finisher after shadowstep and stack the 25% evis or you need to get the 150% dmg to next combo gen and stack that as much as possible. If you don’t have either or some combination of both then the final boss as well as certain elites/floor bosses can be pretty difficult.
I think one of the things the rogue anima powers lack is excitement. None of the powers are super exciting, most are either stat/duration increases or cooldown reduction. The distract bomb one can be exciting on lower levels but it doesn’t scale enough at higher levels to be super useful, especially with everything in combat. I guess I’m just looking for powers that change the way rogues play and there really aren’t any useful ones that I’ve experienced.
