I found Mort’regar to be pretty easy. Just buy the Broker item that lets you transform a non-elite into an anima orb. Use it on one of the shades. It gives you an anima power that makes the black pools heal you rather than do damage.
This is good to know. Got to try it next time. I always tried to avoid that item, thinking why should I buy RNG?
I found fractured chambers harder tbh. There was a boss “Maw of the maw” which felt stupid overtuned. I’m a 184 hunter and I had to use flask, palatable feast, weapon oil, potion, warlock healthstone I had in bags from somewhere, a potion I bought from the NPC, and bloodlust to be able to kill the boss.
Everything else I kinda just rolled over
No, they don’t. Running from them was my strategy on that floor and nothing followed or teleported to me.
It’s been a blast as Arcane, not too hard. The only challenging part for me was the platform into elites thing. But it’s why I save CDs.
Well, clearly, something broke in my run, or your run. Because they did teleport to me after I tried teleporting away to the next platform, multiple times.
Ya’know, like how bosses sometimes teleport you to them if the boss can’t reach you for whatever reason. Except in reverse.
I only had one rez left at the end, but one loss was due to falling off a platform due to a stupid jump I made.
Are you talking about the gold elites that you can’t kill? And they just follow you as a ghost and pop up later in the run? Those were a pain, but once I realized they would pop up with a lot less health it helped me plan a bit.
Nah, the Stalker shades weren’t an issue. It was the rest that followed for some reason. The big Miscreation shades, immortal Devil shades and whatnot.
Moreso there is the ooze boss that is a major problem. It’s RNG. if you get the other boss its very easy. However, if you get the ooze boss well…then you are out of luck.
TBH I had problems on layer 3 on my druid myself. Boomkin/caster is HARD in Mort’regar. Like, almost impossible. My solution was to switch to my main spec (resto) with feral affinity and use my power-ups that boosted my damage from prowl, utilize roots and snares that DoT while I spam-healed myself.
Some of us I guess aren’t totally the best players - but one thing Torghast is teaching me is how to utilize a lot of my abilities I don’t use in every-day scenarios, thus learning to play my class better.
Yeah, that was my thinking as well. But it can absolutely be a game changer for levels like that. Also you can use it on the trader to give everyone in your party something like 100 phantasma or something. Kind of humorous tbh XD
Just try it every day until you get a easy boss
Do you mean the difficulty of the ooze boss is RNG? Or getting him? Because I didn’t find him too difficult.
I think a lot of these are class dependent as well. I know range classes that had no issues on that eye that does the push back, but of course I hated in on my paladin.
Very true - I had the eyeball on my pally and had to leave after a couple tries due to real life commitments. The next day I decided to try again and was prepared with speed pots etc only to get a different boss (which was much easier too).
Maw of the Maw was really tough for me, even with an anima buffed earth ele to tank. If my iLvl was higher I suppose it wouldn’t have gone down to the wire like it did, but here we are. XD
doing this solo on affliction lock, shadow priest and blood DK, no one over 158 GS. This is 100% a case of get gud not get gear. Learn to use the anima system as well as your FULL KIT.
Funny enough how you know you are wrong when you scream that its too hard and this week’s patch is actually fixing the “easy” bosses to make them harder.
Did this on my BM hunter and Druid tank/boomkin just fine with crappy gear.
I feel like people really dont understand how to do torg. Kill ALL ENEMIES AND BREAK ALL POTS. The more phantasma = more abilities. Make a build. Its so easy ive never lost a run on my lock or druid. I know some classes can be harder…but man its really really easy.
I was going through it like butter until the floor where you rope from platform to platform, then I kept landing in a group of elites. Combine that with the ones that I thought were dead but kept teleporting on top of me and doubling the number of elites I was fighting at once. It was a bit crazy.
I got through it but it definitely had me thinking the scaling was broken somehow.
For me it was just annoying how long some of the mobs took to kill. Or how you would have to wait for the shades to reappear before you could continue. I can see how on classes with no self healing it would be worse.
Just git gud m8.
