Pug it in a 5 man /thread
Pretty much my attitude. Itâs okay, but I enjoyed Islands so much more. Six floors is way too much for dull and bland rooms with the same npcs over and over again. Three or four would have been fine.
Not saying the whole experience is awful, justâŠan okay experience that I donât plan on doing much of once I have my legendary.
Torghast is somehow simutaneously too hard and too easy and awards the best items in the game but also nothing at the same time. Itâs a waste of my time but also provides my legendary. Blizzard do something.
ish?
Depends on the cell block youâre doing. Not all cellbocks have anti-afk mechanics. Plus you can chill on a fresh floor and take a break since at the start of every floor you get a buff that suppresses torments, allowing you to afk for bio or a drink.
Cant say I like it and cant say I dont. Its a strange entity, one that polarizes everyone. Too easy, too hard. I donât think its hard or easy given the skill increases you get in there, some I wish I could keep but its monotonous, repetitive and offers little in the way of requiring actual thought to run. Most classes have turned into a 3-5 button masher and repeating that every 5 seconds over the course of 2 hours really burns you out on it fast. There needs to be a break up in the routine of it. Something different, some color, taste maybe a little spiceâŠwithout that it sort of reminds you of chewing on wet cardboard for dinner everyday.
LoL! This comment wins the internet! I literally LOLâd and then re-read the comments that you flawlessly just summed up! HAHA, Bravo sir, Bravo!
its 1200 to craft a legendary at 190 i level. thatâs 2 weeks of capping your soul ash. Nobody has been able to farm enough to even craft 2 legendries. And then you have to upgrade them. You donât craft and be done. you have to upgrade.
Thatâs just one layer though. My point still stands.
That I do agree with. I love torghast and canât wait for twisting corridors but atm there isnât much difference between a lot of the cell blocks art wise.
Like when I first heard of âColdheart Interstitiaâ I expected a lot of ice and and maybe even ice physics to make you play differently. Yet all we got was bridge land.
Still one of the more unique floors. Coldheart and Soulforges are the only two that really stand out. The rest tend to blend together for me. There are differences but the differences arnât large enough.
Can anyone confirm the âadjustmentâ thatâs currently underway for the Healer enemy mob HP adjustment⊠i didnât see a percentage just a âweâre doing itâ comment. Is it back to normal as it is for DPS classes?
its not one layer⊠its all layers above layer 2, depending on the wingâŠ
and while there are workarounds, it doesnât mean there is no timerâŠ
Torghast highlights just how much content isnât in the rest of the game, and how much ActiBlizz wants to have empty, repeatable content that doesnât require much in the way of resources to maintain. I canât shake the feeling that what Iâm doing is beta testing something that will show up somewhere else. Maybe Torghast is the future of dungeons.
I just opted to not do Torghast. Dumped the crafting professions that depend on it and Iâm moving on to the rest of the game. If the rest of the game becomes dependent on Torghast, then Iâll move on to another game. The other games Iâm going to play anyway, but Iâll play more of them and none of WoW.
Yes I know it stacks. But I am saying it shouldnât stack at all. The content is not balanced for some classes. So level 6 could be a breeze for a brain dead hunter and require a rogue to be at top game. They can never balance this. That why some people hate it and think of it as a chore.
rest of the game is already dependent on torghast so I guess have a nice time playing other games.
Youâll need a legendary so if you donât have one, eventually by 9.1 or 9.2 youâll stop getting into groups. Heck some groups right now wonât invite ya with no legendary.
you can get and upgrade a legendary by running the first 3 floors of each wing that is open each week, with zero problems on any class.
anyone who says differently doesnt know how math works.
They are similar to visions without the element of a timer. This is what people wanted I guess. I preferred visions because the runs would end quickly if your cloak level was low or you made a mistake. With Toghast, you can brute force your way to level 6 only to be stopped by the end boss and waste an hour of your life.
So you donât want it to stack?
So you want to be forced to do each layer each week?
With the highest level giving all previous level rewards: that means you only ever need to do 2 runs a week once you unlock everything.
I like torghast but if the rewards didnât stack, that means you would have to do 16 runs once all 8 layers are released for soul ash. No thank you. Would rather keep it down to my 2 runs a week (sometimes 3-4 to unlock new layers once they are released).
yeah, but if you died in a vision, you still kept the resources that you did collect, even if you didnât complete a mission. And you could build on that later. And most importantly, visions didnât provide something absolutely essential to other aspects of the game. I could run M+ on my own skill and get gear as good and better than full 5-mask clears. but torghast requires successful completion in order to get âoptionalâ legendaries that arenât optional at all. not having these âoptionalâ legendaries is like going into nâzoth w/o the cloak.
iunno. I think the concept of torghast is neat. it was fun to explore the first time. but going through it all every week and at greater and greater difficulties, especially on a class that isnât designed to face tank or a spec that doesnât aoe well, is just demoralizing. visions were similar in that regard. if you didnât have good aoe, you were at a significant disadvantage. at least it seems like theyâre nerfing it for healers and tanks so maybe all the druids and pallies talking crap in my guild wonât find it so easy this week.
Itâs literally the first two weeks of the expansion. Itâs in âphase 1â of WoW version 9. There is naturally going to be some form of content drought.
the tower is an excellent idea for wowâŠ
they just need to flesh it outâŠ
