Yes I feel the same!
Since it already feels like a Diablo game mode they should just include rare/epic/legendary items as a drop chance as an incentive.

I love it, it is like playing a more involved version of the Diablo 3 nephalem rifts, but with random Perks. It is so much fun, I forgot how much I missed destroying pots, I really hope they branch this system out more as another way to obtain gear with higher rewards the higher “torment” level and timed levels. Hell even if they did it similar to the Diablo ones where you spend points earned from finishing the level for gear (which has a random chance to give the best items) I would be keen.
I actually do think it’s neat, but a tad underwhelming for the rewards given. If there was loot, mounts, hidden xmogs, or more, I’d be much more excited. But doing it just for the challenge gets a little boring, especially when spend so long just to get soul ash
I am finding the layer 2 fire boss to be impossible for my ilvl 155 Sub Rogue. It just does too much damage I cant survive. I have failed it 5 times now.

Torghast is probably the best content they’ve designed thus far.
Sadly, it is also very unrewarding, sorry but cosmetics aren’t fun, give us a Torghast armor set with bonuses for Torghast, it would be awesome.
But I really couldn’t care less about another pet reskin.

They had great potential but sadly Blizzard ran out of time and they had to rush them out, kinda like island expeditions.
I like it. I’m mostly a solo player so this let’s me dungeon crawl without having to deal with other people. Fun times

I enjoy Torghast right now. Finding new spells and what not is super fun. Doing combos with friends is great. I just don’t know if a year+ from now it will still be fun. I’ve already had a run that I got nothing but common upgrades and it was just a rough experience.
I noticed that as well. I posted that before I got to the third layer and was unable to solo the boss, despite my best efforts and all cooldowns. I experienced the same thing when trying to do some extreme kiting.
I like Torghast. I like being kept on my toes. Some of the upper levels I’ve been on has made me need to plan pulls instead of just face rolling.
Only issue I’ve had was one of the powers I chose made my pets very aggressive to Maw Rats because it ups their damage. Level 3 Soul Forges, my 2 idiot demon oxen barreled off around a corner to stomp the rat because they saw it. They pulled 3 elite packs on the way back. 
I got stomped. I laugh about it today, but it wasn’t funny when it happened.
