Torghast imo was fun

Island Expeditions are way more fun. They are something that could be further developed and the PvP ones had potential. Sorry but never want to step foot in Choregast again and everything that is SL needs to be erased from our memories.

Torgast was fun depending on the spec or covenant.

Had good times with…
Necro/Venthyr/night fae shaman, night fae demon hunter, venthyr fury warrior, kyrian prot war, kyrian paladin, Night fae warlock, Venthyr rogue, necro frost mage, kyrian priest, necro/night fae monk, nf frost dk, nf druids, kyrian/necro/nf/venthyr sv hunter.

If there was some sort of save function it would make it better

Y’all remember rogues trying to do torghast when it was released tho lmao

I’m with OP, Torghast is actually currently pretty fun.

See in my eyes it had the potential to be extremely fun. But the fact it was a requirement that was forced upon players completely killed any fun aspect i had.

The issue is Torghast is balanced when played as a group. When played as Solo, there is a chance you would encounter a Boss that is a direct counter to you. But play it as a group, no matter what Boss it gives you, you would be able to handle it.

Torghast is on Dungeon Finder under Premade Groups Category. During the time when we all needed Soul Ash/Soul Cinders for our Legendaries, the fastest way to beat Torghast is with a Group. Around 30 min to finish 1 run. Another 30 min and you’re done for the week. It’s just many players are not efficient on playing Shadowlands. They thought it is a long chore. It is not… It is very short on me when I realized grouping is far way better.

Torghast has been the highlight of Shadowlands for me, but it should have never been compulsory for Legendaries. It should have been a purely cosmetic challenge and should have never felt the sting of a nerf bat. The whole fun of Torghast is stoopid beeg numbers. Where else can I drop a 70% Bloodlust every minute or command a 2.6 million HP wrathguard with an army of imps and 6 Tyrants?

Mindless, simple, fun; with purely cosmetic rewards for higher challenges.

There was no reason not to put gear rewards in it. I think it’s closer to horrific visions than to island expeditions. At least in horrific visions I could get gear to progress to complete with all the masks entirely on my own.

It’s biggest problem was that they tied it directly into player power. It was/is still sort of required to make legendary gear.
If it had been visions 2.0 wuth its own gear/reward structure and not been forced into player progression it would have had better reception.
If it was released in its final form and untied to legendary acquisition I think less people would loathe it. I like a good single player challenge, and used torghast to scratch that itch when the rest of SL started boring me to tears.

The computer I had for the first half of shadowlands used to bluescreen randomly when playing wow, oh my god how nerve wracking torghast was.

I like torghast. They should add a new currency for something like 15+ and make it a material requirement to upgrade legendary’s to 311.

Fun for me was dependent on the class. My hunter and rogue slogged through Torghast while my Monk, Warrior and Shaman strode through the place like gods. Even my Mage was stupidly overpowered in there.

rogue at the beginning of torghast was… tough to put it lightly.

Torghast was only fun for the right classes and specs. Even then it was depending on the power.

When I rolled in and was able to get the powers that beefed my Wrathguard each floor and made my Hands of Guldan free it was an absolute blast.

Outside of that it always felt like a slog.

Choregast was so annoying. It was a worse version of visions from BFA. The reason 5 mask visions were good to do though every week was because of a chance at BiS corruption gear.

Crazy to think about how much better BFA was than SL.

SL was the time-gated acquire this resource expansion and eventually you might have fun but probably won’t.

Maybe we could make Raiding a thing of the past since it’s forced progression instead of side content.

I just wish they had a lot more movement speed related powers or buffs. While I like the push for flawless and such, I hate trudging back through empty hallways because of crappy map design.
