- torghast gives the most ash to lower levels
- it can be solod up until 3-5 if you are geared. aka doing more than just dailys aka trying.
- we have group finder. if you cant find a group make one.
Yes. How dare people get upset because they’re expected to group up on something that was fully advertised as a solo event.
Also, “earn your legendary” I got my legendary last night. Never went higher that L3. Getting the Legendary is the one trivial thing about the whole system.
I absolutely love roguelites… Torghast is easily the worst of the worst roguelite ever. The whole idea is to grow wildly in power and mow through levels until bosses where difficulty varies based on equipment/perks.
Sad part is you are right, it’s just another chore that feels extremely boring. Nerfing our power is a hard step in the wrong direction.
Yea they need to really offer Soulash in other aspects of the game. M+, Raiding etc. Let Torghast be optional and for cosmetic rewards or people that for some twisted reason enjoy that place.
I got a Soulash mission on my campaign table but those are near impossible to win so far. Why does blizzard hate fun and go through tremendous efforts to stop it is the only question I have.
Torghast needs to be easily soloable since it is SOLO content and the powers in there more frequent and powerful so that way can maybe have fun. Big maybe though it’s an underwhelming place that plagued with issues and shouldn’t be a mandatory weekly. Pull the Ripcord.
Reverse all Solo nerfs, buff everyone and all Anima powers by 200%. Or better Yet remove Soulash from Torghast. So we don’t have to do it. If you are soooo satisfied with Torghast then see how popular it is by removing Soulash from it because if it is fun (which it’s agonizing) then people will do it regardless of rewards.
Might as well just send the Soul Ash to your mail box in that scenario.
You know… There are grey areas. I know some people want to stomp their way through, but I think a lot of the people not currently happy would just be okay with some reduction in difficult/tedium. That’s all.
It really doesn’t do anything for a discussion to just hyperbole someone’s argument into meaninglessness.
Can we just take the RNG out of it please? Like, spending 1-2 hours getting to Level 6 then realizing you got shafted on the powers and not being able to kill the boss is so defeating. Having to do it 3x a week is also too much. Who’s got all this time to commit to a game? Jeez.
Torghast should be finished in 15 mins. That should be their goal. Whatever they have to do to get us there, DO IT!!

I’ll find out tonight what all the hubbub is about. I’ve cleared two levels (floors?), six and then six more. Is it a level or floor? Floor of floors? A floor and the floors inside don’t count?.. Anyways I was planning on running it on a couple characters tonight.

I’d be up for being able to have the option of turning Phantasma (or whatever its called) into Soulash at 10% in lieu of finishing the run, so we could quit anywhere and get SOMETHING. That would also give players the option of going for it by buying extra powers at the vendors, or cutting out.
If just 7 and 8 had come out hard, that’s more whatever, we hadn’t done them yet, but it’s completely inexcusable to change the existing difficulties we had already done post-release to become more obnoxious and slow AFTER numerous complaints about how slow they already were.
Not only did they change existing content that had already been completed to be slower, but they ignored ALL feedback about Torghast and went in the exact opposite direction. They didn’t make any QoL improvements and instead made it worse.
Still wondering why on earth someone designed this mode so you have to loot a dozen+ times a run when you could just be given phantasma automatically as the mobs die.
Yea but why does the first month of every expansion have to be such a gut wrenching painful experience.
Played Legion first month unsubbed for the expansion
Played BFA first month unsubbed till 8.3 ( suffered for 3 months before fun )
How long…just how long do we have to suffer before the fun starts in SL? I always try to weigh out the pros and cons. Is the amount of suffering worth the fun I eventually will have months from now? Usually the answer is no. You can just unsub and do something else that is fun.
Again the Devs are totally missing the mark on what is fun. They also are totally missing the mark on how to make something difficult. Annoying doesn’t equal difficult and needs to stop being their formula for it because it’s just what it is…an annoying painful experience. That isn’t engaging or enjoyable game design. We need some fresh blood at Blizzard.
The increase of HP doesn’t make it hard just makes it take longer then it should, as a prot pala its pretty easy, just really time consuming and tedious. Let me get swol af and live my power fantasy lol.
