I’m definitely with you now. But I really enjoyed it until this week. I wish they brought everyone up to where tanks and some healers were, rather than bring everyone but tanks down to where the more frustrated DPS were.
It was a good experience prior. IDK why they changed it. It’s not an avenue for character progression outside of one piece of gear, with a cap on once per week. Can’t farm it for drops or anything… It just doesn’t make sense to be highly challenging content.
It’s not a case of “Didn’t expect people to get that far”, but more “Didn’t expect people to get that far, that quickly, that easily.” Also, the RNG element of getting anima powers means that you could have a much easier time next time; getting the “kill mawrats for health” as your very first anima choice, for instance, can make a big difference.
We’re talking about the start of a release that’s part of a likely 18-month to 2-year (or more) cycle. I mean, I’m sure they want to bring it back to Azeroth, but clearly they’ve set up a lot of story lines to leave dangling and unresolved. So there’s plenty of time to get there.
BEYOND overtuned… tried doing it this week with a Rogue/Druid combo had issues all the way up to the final boss then got to the boss with nearly 2mill HP… Blizzard WHAT THE F&^% are you doing over there?! Rogues then buff Torghast then increase to non sub costs. Nail in the coffin Im done! unsubbing. ENJOY BFA 2.0
Yep, and I’m thankful for it with the current reward structure. If they want to add more to this system to work toward other than Soul Ash, I’d welcome a reasonable challenge worthy of the reward, personally.
And I hear that’s coming with the Twisting Corridors. I just had no idea they weren’t going to be a feature this patch, since they were tested on the beta and everything.
But if it’s just a weekly chore for a unique currency that’s only good for one thing necessary for character progression, there’s no reason it should be tedious.
They made the right choice here and I’m happy with it, even if it’s a little less challenging than it was last week. They really need to sit down and figure out how to better handle these sort of systems. It’s like they only know how to make it incredibly easy or incredibly challenging, and nothing in-between.
