Torghast and borrowed power is back so with that in mind I'm gone

They want people to share in their issue with something. There’s a different fundamental when it comes to the end game in WoW than FFXIV.

When we finished a tier, we cleared it 8 times to ensure 8 people got their mount and weapons. And then that was it. So a good team go spend 8 weeks wrapping up a tier and that’d be it.

In WoW, it seems some raid from start of the season to the end. Either not having cleared the whole tier or for farming loot. If it’s the latter, then perhaps Blizz needs to spruce up their approach to drops in the tiers.

Can I haz your golds?

I’d say it is closer to Troves of the THunder King but without a timer

I wish that ring was upgradable. I like having gear with effects, but the ilvl just cant keep up. Its fine for me since I barely play, but I’d still like to be able to scale it higher.

THe ring is just another version of this

The Pocket-Sized Computation Device is a new customizable trinket coming in 8.2 with three specialized sockets, allowing players to setup their own combination of special combat effects, stats, and non-combat bonuses. This guide will quickly cover how the trinket works, how to get it, and what the different punch cards socketed into it do.

The gems are just punch cards 2.0

Excalibur was found wedged in a stone, Arthur didn’t have to slay anything to get it, if that was done in game, it would be a lvl 1 quest in the starting zone by comparison.

The Ring of Power was found sitting at the bottom of a small river, again, lvl 1 quest , no raid or even killing a Kobold needed.

Fantasy is literally filled with things like this, not knowing what you may find over there beyond that rock or in that small cave is the fun of the adventure.

having everything of real power locked behind super hard content and raiding is predictable, boring and just plain lazy story telling.

Punch cards didn’t require a key grind from rares to obtain rng punch cards from a solo scenario with a daily lockout, and to then farm more of them to grind down into currency to upgrade said punch cards.

Not to mention the Mechagon trinket was not BiS at all.

So it’s nothing like Punch cards 2.0. This will be a BiS ring with a way more involved grind. This is more akin to Corruption resistance and corruption gear.

True but to be honest people already farm rares and chests and the vault is along the lines of doing Troves of the Thunder King then it is Torghast.

The abilities from the gems are along the lines of punch cards for the trinket and even in some cases if the trinket and punch cards were good they weren’t really bis.

Why would I farm any of that stuff ? My toon is ilvl 417 equipped.

They are absolutely not, what are you saying ?

Punch cards were stat sticks. The only one that had an ability was the Red rep punch card, Blue punch cards were entirely useless non-combat gimmicks.

The punch card themselves dropped directly from the rares, or from the bosses in the actual dungeon people were running already. They couldn’t be upgraded, no currency grind was required. The card dropped and that was it, you were done.

They absolutely are not. They are massively different, and they can be amplified using the proper combo. The punch cards had no synergy at all.

The ring will be BiS though. This is nothing like the Mechagon trinket. This is going to be a required power grind to keep up with the increasing power floor in patch 10.0.7.

It’s a weird complaint too. Some people complained about button bloat in MoP. Others complained about pruning. Still more complain if they don’t get anything new.

Temporary abilities seems about the only way to compromise. Especially since some of them aren’t really borrowed if they are still here.

I’m sorry to inform you that they aren’t designing the entire max level experience to cater to you personal needs or wants.

aka borrowed power

Designing world casual content so that people who are ilvl 417 are forced to do it is why we had Legion->Shadowlands viewed as chores and failures.

But feel free to keep your head in the sand.

I understand, you want to raid log, exactly like WoD. Anything that prevents that is a “chore.”

I guess we are pretending that WoD was a smashing success now.

No, I don’t want my keystone time cut into by boring content.

I already have an end game that lets me play 24/7 if I want, I don’t need this content, and this content shouldn’t contain rewards that are mandatory to do my own content.

Yes, a routine task that forces you to log in is a chore. That’s the definition of chore. Good job.

This. Game. Is not. Designed. Only. For you.

Gun to your head, getting you to long on?

I log on to level my alts, raid, dungeon, quest/ daily and pvp. Every week. Since 2005. Entire game is a chore if you try hard enough.

This. Game. Keeps. Failing. When. It. Forces. Chores. On. Us.

I love when people try to argue from this idiotic angle. It’s a video game, nothing is forcing anybody to log on if that’s the criteria.

You know you were supposed to infer that it’s forcing you to log on or fall behind. The fact you had no argument and had to resort to playing stupid says all that needs to be said.

This game has been failing since Wrath, when subs started flat lining. MoP/ WoD lost more than ever subbed for legion-sl. Catering to raid loggers didn’t work either.

Exactly. So stop using the idiotic argument that anyone is forcing you to do anything. If you want to play, play. If you don’t, don’t.

This is an mmorpg. The world doesn’t stop just because you don’t feel like logging on for the day.

What part of “Keystones” says raid logging to you ?

I’m genuinely curious to know if you’re not just trolling at this point.
