We had a bear OT all through naxx and it was very nice to have around.
The fury prot can hold aggro while the dps zug away, but the bear is super reliable with their giant hp pools and lots of armor 
Apologies for co-opting the thread, but I was pleasantly surprised how well bear tank services worked throughout classic.
I knew I wanted to play the class because mobility is such a major QOL but, once covid happened and I could get into serious raiding long term, it became clear that it was a huge asset while warriors were gearing up and we were pushing content. Prots couldn’t hold aggro and fury prots were a liability at MC gear levels. There was always the specter of Patchwerk looming as well which kept even guildies not up on tank theory crafting interested in keeping a bear around and geared.
