Too many attempts made

Hey I opened my bnet launcher and got a too many attempts made error. I used the support feature on the website to get a code for my email to unlock my account but it didn’t work. Anyway I can go about fixing this?

Done all of those steps the cookies and cache clearing wouldnt effect my bnet launcher log in anyway, but I’ve read other posts where this has lasted upwards of 12+ hours. Guess I’ll wait?

It is very possible that the one-hour timer resets if you try again within an hour after first getting the message, yes.

Don’t think it should last 12+hours. It really shouldn’t be more than 1 hour.

If you’re still having difficulty, it might be worth putting in a ticket to see if Blizz can lend a hand at all.

I would almost want to try a password reset in this case. Worth a shot?

Definitely, but the OP indicated that they had tried all the steps from the support article that Ekon linked (which included resetting the password) so it’s weird that nothing is working :frowning:

It does though. The launcher actually uses some web functionality and can be a bit strange. It does not hurt to try it.

Shut down the launcher and the game and make sure you kill any background instances of the launcher - agent.exe - before restarting the launcher.

Waiting it out is really all that can be done if you’ve attempted the steps listed in the article. Customer Support is not able to bypass this.
