Except this never happened when it was the main choice but it did when it was the other way around.
There were plenty of scenarios where not taking the talent was the correct choice. Passives should be weaker than actives otherwise its always the correct choice.
I seriously would not care if we pruned some classes back. Some of these specs donât even make sense gameplay wise. Itâs like the thematic aspect was chopped in favor of just making them more chaotic. All so we can reach some pinnacle of âHow do we make all this harder?â homogenization.
Old Discipline to me was perfect then they pruned it. Apparently it was too hard yet youâve got Arcane and Outlaw sitting there as royal nightmares to manage (Not to say theyâre unmanageable, itâs just harder to perform overall). Why nuke Discipline? It took skill, it wasnât over kitted, it needed some extra help in the HP recovery department but otherwise it was fun.
So whoâs running this train here? They did the same crap with Shadow, too hard. Yet somehow other specs are sitting there hard as a mother trucker. What gives?
PVP players play PVE and some do mythic and raid as well as PVP, so are well-rounded players in all aspects of the game. As, perhaps, you are, all the more power to you.
You would have to ask Venruki if he plays PVE at some point in his WOW adventures. My guess would be yes, I may be wrong. The fact is, Arcane is a bloated and hard spec to play at a high level. Some players probably like this and cope well, and thatâs the reason they are in high end PVE guilds.
For the majority of the player base, itâs too much
Pve players donât need 3-5 keybinds for polymorph
So yes the context does matter. Thatâs why you canât name a high end pve mage that says itâs bloated. Itâs also why you ignored the rest of my post.
Iâm not ignoring your post. You are correct, I donât know any high end PVE mage players, and tbh I donât care to. You are assuming Venruki does not play PVE. I would think he does in some way, and he has access to high-end players that do it all, I would guess through connections with Blizzcon etc.
Anyway itâs all good you have your opinion, I have mine.
It has zero to do with being elitist. If a class is too hard you have two options.
Practice and get better
Or
Reroll to an easy class like bm hunter.
So do PvE players. However nothing changes. If you play both (ps I do play both) you wonât ever need three keybinds for polymorph in pve in any situations.
You are.
Arcane isnât bloated. The issues with arcane come from the fact it has small damage windows and a single mistake can hurt your damage.
No one thatâs good at the spec complains about bloat in pve which is what matters more.
PSS I mained arcane the first two tiers this expansion.
The majority of the playerbase are bad and should be ignored when designing and balancing classes.
Thatâs fair. Though Iâd like to have a serious talk with whoever gave feedback that Vanish needs to be a part of Outlawâs rotation. Since when are survival/flavor cooldowns meant to supplement our DPS?
Youâre making an assumption that it was the pruning that caused this and not something else (or many things) that made WoD a bad expansion. Hence, citation needed.
You might âhate tutorialsâ but any player wanting to improve wouldnât.
Once they reach level 10 players could get a letter from their trainer (similar to what they got at lvl 1 in Vanilla) to report in and then be given options for the tutorials.
