So yes. You blame multiboxers for herbs being the price that they are. My question to you is, why are herbs cheap now and why weren’t they cheap on launch? Multiboxing didn’t come with 8.3, it’s been here 16 years
They actually decided to allow multiboxing before the game even launched. So it’s been in the game for nearly 16 years now.
Source? 10 char.
I denounce the botters too.
I don’t think it’s MB - it’s people trying to get rid of stuff and not looking at the price.
Are WoD herbs worth less or more than Zin’anthid? Supply and demand is the answer. If less people are farming for WoD herbs and willing to pay more for them? Then yes, they are.
It’s called a “glut” (the oil industry is going through this right now) on current mats. It may also be that people are making a last minute push for their bruto and they heard Zin sells high - but then they flood the market so it doesn’t sell high.
I’ve made gold this week purely from buying items off the AH that were listed well under vendor price! I don’t think bots are doing that - I think people just aren’t paying attention in their end-of-expansion clean up.
Same thing happened in Legion at the end. It has happened at the end of every expansion as far back as I can remember.
Old mats are farmed less and are routinely more valuable than something everyone is trying to unload before the market dries up and the next new thing is out.
Happens in the real world all the time.
Look at prices on HDD versus SSD, or any other tech generally.
Nobody wants to buy the old thing when the new one is about to come out.
But then you get to a point where the old thing becomes retro or collectible and value climbs back up.
So what you are saying is that the formation of groups is unfair?
It is if one person can control an entire raid group.
There’s a quote I want to find that I think fits perfectly, might take me a minute though since I have to use the wayback machine since blizz blew up the old forums
We do not prevent people from owning multiple accounts, nor playing those accounts simultaneously as long as they abide by our Terms of Use and EULA.

Multiply Boxing while not common, has been done in many MMO’s, and as long as you steer clear of using Third Party Programs to automate the game play it is a perfectly legitimate practice.

If you’d like to visit and see what your ancestors were saying about multiboxing in 2007
Multiboxers who use their toons to gank in WPvP? Ew. Yikes.
Multiboxers who farm gold and herbs? Meh. Whatever.
Lies, Theres no way you could afford all that popcorn without boxing.
Its not possible to multibox without some software to facilitate it.
Also, man those ancient posts are such a throwback.
LMAO!! And the monitor almost wore that sip.
He does have a suspicious amount of popcorn
Actually it is. Make two accounts, log onto them both. BOOM! You’re multiboxing!
I myself do not multibox. I never said I don’t employ multipops
But we both know thats not how multiboxers multibox. You can’t control 15 characters at once without third party software, automation, and all the nasty stuff blizz supposedly denounces while pretending multiboxers do it fairly while using 15 keyboards at once.
Yeah, ban Windows! Death to the 3rd Party!!!
You can’t play WoW without 3rd party software, even a single instance of it.
That’s what your OS, drivers, etc… are from the perspective of Acti-Blizz since they do not own or produce any of that.
We? I don’t remember given you permission to speak for me.
You can’t multibox without automation. Which is banned by blizz. So the way blizz condones multiboxing is by pretending multiboxers don’t automate stuff, and pretends they use 15 keyboards at once.
If blizz came out and said automation was ok, they’d have to let bots be acceptable too.
Well I don’t know for sure what anyone does on their computer, there’s a guy here who says that’s exactly how he plays. He could be lying though but what do you want me to do.
Whether or not you can control all your characters at once doesn’t determine if you are multiboxing or not.
Is not automation by our standards. This is why multi-boxing is just fine.
As a soloist, you push a key and one thing happens on your account. As a multiboxer, you push a key and 1 thing happens on each of your accounts.
Automation would be timed macros, synced pathing, etc., not having the 1 key bound to Flash of Light on your Paladin and Fireball on your mage.
Clearly our definitions of automation differ greatly .
