Tolerating Multiboxing is a dangerous precedent to set

Yes, I’m a drooling moron

So what tangible benefits do you get from multi-boxing. Just being able to group content sans group?

Well, the support article clarifies that Multiboxing is not cheating. You can whine all you want, but if you REALLY want to influence Blizzard. Go to account management and click unsubscribe, speak with your wallet.

People with an advantage in the market are usually the first ones to tell you they’re good for the market and to shut up and stop talking about it.

Well I will request that they just enforce the current version, since that is the easiest option for them.

That’s a lie that only someone who doesn’t know how the game works and doesn’t want to know could possibly believe.

If I have a 5 box unit, I leveled up and geared all those characters. They didn’t come into existence by themselves. I ran Karazhan 150 times total on solo characters and 2-5 member teams, because I have many characters and can do that. I got the mount because luck has nothing to do with it. Go level 50 characters if you want to farm a rare mount. You can run them separately, on multiple accounts together using follow, or use key-cloning.

You will find your characters getting stuck on every corner, pillar and doorway. It takes longer to do a multi run than a solo run. If you’re carrying 110’s, I hope your main has a rez, because sometimes the 110’s will die, and it’s a long, dangerous run back.

And what did I win? I got a desirable mount that is soulbound, and I ended up spending weeks of playtime doing it. It dropped on a solo run.

Protip about how companies word their ToS. They deliberately write them vaguely enough such that they can interpret it pretty much any which way they want. It’s another way of saying “it doesn’t really matter what we say. All that really matters is it’s our way or the highway”.

Just saying.

That works vs commoners. It doesn’t work if it goes to court where lawyers will rip you a new one with your own words.

So take’em to court!!

Well when it clashes with a law, sure. Although not always even then lol.

Are you suggesting you are gonna take this to court?

Yeah, sure. Even some laws are written with vague language that have to be better defined through the court system.

OH wait I noticed we have some new comers. Let me put more out.

Blizzard has stated time and time again that software that duplicate key strokes across all clients is okay. However anything that automate anything else is not allowed.

It’s an easy claim to make. Multiboxing does not rely on automation. Each character performs a single action in response to a single button that is pressed by a human being.

If you think that’s automation, then you’ve just redefined the term so broadly that it applies to everyone who has ever played the game.

No. Actually terms of use are always written by lawyers. The claims we see made in the forums by the anti-multiboxer copy pasters that “It means what I want it to mean” are false. Everything is vaguely enough written that they can do whatever they want unhindered by opinions of the ignorant or malicious.

And if you think you’re going to win in court on this one, that’s hilarious. You’ll never get to court, and you’d be laughed out of court just for trying.

“Commoners” don’t exist in the world. You’ve been playing too much videogame. Try real life.

Reminds me of an old Bartcop quote. If someone has a accident that makes them money expect them to keep having that accident. Which is why Blizz allows multiboxers to this day. When WOW came out I think having 20 hunters running around wasn’t something they actually expected to happen regularly. It is an accident that makes them money so…

I do not agree with multiboxing. I personally find it un immersive to see fred, fredd, freddd, fredddd, etc. run past me in a giant, confusing mob of limbs.

Doubt it.

Yes they do, there are societies that exist today that are still semi feudal.

What’s the benefit of being a multi-boxer

What’s the benefit of being a Priest?

I think you may be misunderstanding what I was saying, I’ll try again!

Solo player gathers herb: 3 herbs
Total herbs: 3

10boxer1:3 herbs
10boxer2:3 herbs
10boxer3:3 herbs
10boxer4:3 herbs
10boxer5:3 herbs
10boxer6:3 herbs
10boxer7:3 herbs
10boxer8:3 herbs
10boxer9:3 herbs
10boxer10:3 herbs
Total herbs: 30

The multiboxer isn’t getting more per gather they are getting the same as everyone else. They get more in the end because there are more of them but what I believe he was saying is the characters in a multiboxers team don’t get more than a single player.
