Hi, old content I know, but I’m an achievement hunter and this bug makes a specific achievement [Just Another Day in Tol Barad] impossible.
There are supposed to be 20 or so rotating dailies in Tol Barad Peninsula, but there’s only 8. The same 8, every day. On Alliance and Horde both. Exact same 8 quests, eeeeeerryday.
The Tol Barad PVP zone works fine, the rotating dailies work as intended there and I was able to get them all done.
I can’t imagine it’s a particularly POPULAR bug, being ancient content and all, but there’ll be more people like me in future so I do hope y’all can give the rotation flags a quick fix, especially since it makes an achievement impossible. Thanks!
Having trouble here too. Except my old main who has only 1 quest left can’t get the last one I need which is Ghostbuster. What’s extra weird is that it does show up for my alts. I put in a ticket for help so TBD the outcome. (Yes alliance on that character too)
At the risk of necroing an old thread I thought I would let you know of a possible work around in the hopes that the next person stuck will be able to do this achievement.
For months I had the same issue. I googled it, complained to blizzard, and almost gave up but then stumbled across this by accident.
IF SOMEONE IS IN THE ZONE ( or maybe just the quest givers camp) when the new quests spawn (1am on my server) it rerolls the dailies, otherwise it sticks with the same ones that are always up. Or at least it has for me on 3 occasions, which are also the only 3 occasions that the quests have deviated from the standard dailies. I might be wrong, it may just be RNG mucking up, but I don’t think so.
Following advice I waited in the area until dailies reset, and indeed a new set of dailies did appear (at 1am). However, I did not complete them, opting instead to go to sleep and thinking I could do them later that day. This was not to be, as 8 hours later the dailies reverted back to the same 8 dailies that are always there. So for some reason if people are not in the zone the dailies will reset regardless of daily reset time? So bizarre and frustrating.
they will never fix it. fixing it implies they have actual coders that understand what they broke and how to fix it. grok can’t do this for them, so it’s a dead horse for us as players.
It’s also the case that the timer for the battle has been broken for many years. If you’re in the zone and you see the countdown timer, then leave to come back for the battle, and there’s no one else in the zone, it automatically resets to 60 minutes if there is no one in the zone for 10-15 minutes. Basically, if you step into the zone and the timer starts counting down from 60 minutes, that’s why.
If this is not going to be fixed then pls amend the achievements to remove the requirement for these 2 quests
Not that complicated to resolve, just fix or amend - Thank you
