Token is 270k now

Hmm. That price is pretty good. Will the price go up even higher on Tuesday, or go back down? Tough call. I think if it cracks 300k on NA I will buy 2.

I’m inclined to agree. I just buy a token whenever I hit 1mil, but otherwise, the gold mostly sits there. Might be different for bleeding edge players and collectors.

Its not that bad actually. I do them while i wait for dungeon queues on my dps specs and on healers/tanks it only takes about 15 minutes to do 7 of them. Also, I have a disability and on a limited income and more free time than most people so it’s definitely worth it for me. Like I said, my situation is unique and not everyone could do it but its perfect for me.

D4 isn’t even an option for me until I get a new rig so I will stick around at least.

It’s really not. Even the most minor raw gold farms can net you that much in just a few hours. They’re just incredibly boring and dull to do. That’s the only issue I have with them.

I will say, I have 0 interest in buying a token at these prices. You’re better off just saving up some money and buying a 6 month chunk (2 months bought 3 times) and just waiting it out. I have never had a sub in this game, not even once. I always just buy chunks of playtime.

I still remember riding my bike to Gamestop to buy those 2 month redeemable gametime cards. Those were the days.

few hours of farm every day sounds a lot. I can’t even do m+ for multiple hours.

In the grand scheme of things, it is, but it’s certainly not a real job. Sometimes, it doesn’t feel worth it to gold farm to me. An actual job at McDonald’s could pay off a year of playtime in just a few days of work.

But I mean if you enjoy playing the game, it stands to reason you’d enjoy gold farming. Maybe not for everyone though.

It’s not great? But I dunno. Beenpaying for my sub with gold since late legion, occasionally give my wife a few hundred thousand gold for her to buy some tokens to keep a back stock if she wants to resub at random. I finished Shadowlands with around 7M gold split in 2 severs, and im down to 4.3 m gold mostly in one sever. I do all the gold and dragon race quests on 2-4 characters, and I was queuing for heroics regularly and turning a nifty profit from augmentation runes from cta (RIP). Honestly most of that gold was spent buying non retail stuff for 2 accounts (tbc boost, wrath classic and wrath boost, all told aroumd 3-4 million gold for me and my wife) andin retail i was tipping pretty habdsomely to have elemental lariats made at the start of s1.

Sucks that it’s nearing 300k, I used to buy 3-5 tokens in one go to keep a backstock, I’m buying them piecemeal as of late.

I’m curious about people buying tokens for the gold. What do they see in this game that gold is valuable for other than maybe buying carries through content?

ZG tiger and raptor, plagued-proto drake.

And I don’t usually buy tokens but if they really go up to 280-300k then yeah I’m going to buy a few.

I pay with gold every month because making gold in this game is really easy when you have plenty time to work on tradeskills on multiple characters

I only spend 3 hours each week, and usually at the beginning of the week doing the tradeskill quests on a mere 4 characters, and between them all, simply doing commissions I make enough to pay my sub monthly.

For context, I play WoW about 10 hours … PER WEEK.

I keep up with the story/ current arc of the game, Raid, and then feel forced to play M+ to gear up for the Raid. It’s often a struggle, but I can do all of that in 10 per week (although I get KSM slower than the ego driven epeen crowd… but I still get it).

From where I’m sitting, I’m in the VAST majority of players. It’s frustrating to have 1-2 raid-loggers on the team, but the reality isn’t that they’re lazy slackers expecting to get carried, they simply don’t have the time to also push M+ for gear.

JUST farming Dragon Races will net you about 8,000g per week, per chr. That doesn’t take a lot of time, it’s a nice amount of gold … but it DEFINITELY isn’t going to buy a Token, either.

I just don’t even see the point. From what I see of goblins, they want gold … to get more gold. The one thing people want more than anything else is tier-gear … and short of p2w, you can’t buy gear. Having endless stacks of gold in WoW is pointless. The stuff you really want … you have to play.

But farming gold for a 250k+ Token?? Seems like a time to re-evaluate your choices in life. Learn to play an instrument.

I worked two hours of overtime and bought Diablo 4 ultimate edition. How many hours did it take you to get enough gold to buy enough tokens to redeem enough to pay for Diablo 4?

I don’t think the Blizzard zealots on these forums realize how poorly DF sold, and now I’m seeing less and less players logging in on my server.

DF was decent at launch, but this spam 8 dungeons and farm rares aka Timeless Isle 4.0 isn’t working anymore to keep players engaged. Even the new raid was kind blah.

I made a post a month ago stating that a lot of players are waking up to the fact, that WoW isn’t really a good game anymore. The developers are basically keeping players engaged with a few repeatable content systems, that at the end of the day aren’t even that fun.

Dude, I wish I had the time or patience some of you guys have. Would love to turn my enjoyment of a game into World of Workcraft and work overtime only to use it on diablo 4…

Damn, just reading some of the posts makes you realize how insufferable some of the playerbase is lol

Would you say they’re…intolerable?

HAHAHA I’m so effing funny.

(I just got added to this list, didn’t I?)

Yea exactly. Some of these guys you know are sitting at home all day on the hamster wheel burning time to earn the gold to pay for the game. They think they are being terribly clever by buying game time with gold but the reality is that they are wasting a ton of time earning that gold in the first place. I just sit back and laugh at them.

I barely could get a couple of tokens per month, and I kinda play a lot.

It would have before, but no, not now.

Speak for yourself. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Not unless you’re short-sighted. You can use that gold to buy balance and buy every store item for every game. You can buy gametime to last you years.

Personally, when I know my time is secured for at least 6 months, I normally buy my friends things. Maybe I help them afford an extra month of time, maybe a mount they really want, maybe a pet, buy them a mog or mats for a craft, etc. etc.

Yeah, that’s a bit extreme. I’d just wait until they die back down to farm one.

I do that normally, all day long, every day.

I have always wanted to learn electric guitar. :relieved:
