People underestimate incredibly intelligent people that develop these addons - but on the other side of the coin - if you cannot SEE the information to manipulate for an addon - then the addon becomes obsolete.
We will just have to wait and see if Ion and developers roll back some iterations on the philosophy so that healing addons still make sense. At some point it’s just going to be a cosmetic replacement for the base UI healing frames. However - you won’t be able to change the color of your healing frame for a person based on if they have Riptide on them or Renew etc.
