The Slumbering Somnowl is one of the best things ever put in the game as far as I’m concerned (well, extend that to the mythic firebird but I doubt I’ll get that anytime soon as a PvP’er). I also absolutely LOVE how these models perch and run instead of hovering at ground level – undoubtedly a preparation for dynamic-flight-friendly models, but I’ve always wanted this and am so glad it’s now a reality. I’m pretty sure this will expand to all other forms if dynamic flight is toggled on in 11.0+.

Two of the three forms don’t require RNG at all though.
Im confused. Is this form a quest reward or a rng world drop or something?
One is a quest reward from the Q’onzu quest chain.
Another involves Hibernating 5 random somnowls, plucking their feathers, combining those feathers with silken thread, and then combining that with Runed Writhebark.
I got the form but didn’t even realize it lol. It’s really nice
some guy got the saber mount from the little plant thing you throw all the drops on… like 1 hour into launch.

Cenarius doesn’t have the quest for me - is there a particular point in the campaign you have to be to get it?
There’s also the darker one, which is quite easy to get.
Finish the current campaign, after chapter 4 Cenarius will give you the quest.
