Its the seasonal raid mount this tier.
It also lets people try raiding on a higher scale than LFR
I think Blizzard underestimates the quality of their raiding experience in this regard.
Once again there is no such thing as a seasonal mount in raiding. AoTC and cutting edge do not count. It is a new reward for fated raids.

That same timeline applies to raiding as well.
