Here’s the thing. Everyone playing this game has heard and read about and seen the results of the various layoffs industry wide. We have all seen what Blizzard QA and support looks like now. We have heard how teams were downsized or shuffled off to different projects. And now we learn that all 40 specs in game are basically being torn down and rebuilt from the ground up in Midnight. Combat addons are being shuttered. A new more robust in-game ui is being built and should be ready by the time pre-patch hits so we can see and adapt to the changes. All of that is being done, an enormous undertaking for the game, during a time that it is publicly known that there has been layoffs and cutbacks across the board. So as players we all have an absolute right to hear all of this and be worried because given track records of even the best of times in this game design teams have fumbled on more than one occasion, and we are far away from the 'best of times". Should we be all doom and gloom? No. But a healthy dose of caution and worry is very acceptable. They are fundamentally changing the game in what appears to be from the outside a very short amount of time. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Lol!!! I love it. Hell yeah dude! I hope you get everything you work towards!
It’s almost like there is a middle ground between not designing boss fights a certain way, and not wanting my main core abilities deleted
Yes it is. They are doing content it doesn’t matter what talents they go.
i hated guild wars 2 for this same awful style of boring gameplay and i hate this too. quit my necromancer at lvl 36 because it got so boring. click the 6 same buttons. felt like i got a lobotomy.
It’s quite honestly what people wanted in the first place. The Boss fights at the very moment cus they haven’t shown it is overly complicated and you’re having to keep track a ton of things at once. But they would not mind some abilities being removed and simplified. Just removing entire combat rotation is bad.
It’s always the bad players proving how absurdly clueless they are.
Ps you’ll still be bad.
A fandom? Overreacting about something?
Never.
Guild Wars 2 would’ve been more fun with more skills.
But who knows, I probably would be playing it now if it had controller support. ![]()
huh… So it looks like I might be playing mage now!
Mage shall Zug zug.
I bounced off GW2 on release despite being so hyped for it because I hit the exact same 6 abilities whether it was AOE or ST. It got so boring.
Relax Guys
Yeah.
Greatsword Warrior gameplay was putting me to sleep lol.
Yeah, this is a good point.
Dunno, I only know Warlock so I’d have to see what they do with locks, I guess.
Nah. People said the same thing when Shadowlands was in alpha and it still turned out to be so bad. I’m all for being positive when its truly earned or appropriate but I ain’t gonna show toxic positivity.
They’ll only listen if enough players quit and then they’ll revert some stuff (will take time probably won’t happen until Last Titan at least), but they probably think they placated casuals/delvers enough for an entire expansion they can get away with being ultra elitist now. Funny thing is it was easy to see this coming even from the beginning of when Delves were first introduced.
Knee-jerk? I’m sure their knees are bonier and they are the jerks not me!
/plays Robyn’s ‘Handle Me’ on full blast.
well I am going on a theme. I am doing a Dark Iron. The idea of fire dwarf doing fire things with Portal, teleport, and Mole machine just sounds great to me.
so Chug chug? cause you know dwarves and beer.
Wow, that looks and sounds incredibly boring. Im grateful i didnt preorder. Like watching golf boring. Yikes.
People have been trying to make this argument every expansion since they revealed the BfA content and systems.
“Stop freaking out it’s just alpha/beta you guys”
Then BfA launched and all the warnings and feedback players had been giving for months was still unaddressed and it took over a year and multiple patches for the devs to make that expansion enjoyable for most people.
We went through the same things with Shadowlands.
Dragonflight was kinda weird because the big feature there was the new flying. It was less about new systems and more about the start of a new shift in philosophy and how the approached the game ie. less friction, more player choice, faster patch cadence, basically all the feedback they said they were taking in Shadowlands after the 9.1 disaster was being realized in DF.
