To all you no damage healers, dealing damage is a form of healing

I mean you are wrong but enjoy making your groups badly

Here look even you have 5 dungeon logs and you haven’t done many keys yet

This forum is the home of the WoW Meme. Someone posts something, its gets a lot of input, someone else thinks their input deservers its own post, and it spirals from there.

I can mostly believe you, but I cannot believe you or anyone sits there going through all the DPS applicants to find logs to see which one is the better player, no one does that, no one has time to do that, you list a key and get 50 DPS asking to sign up and only have 5 minutes to try and find them on Warcraftlogs and quickly assess if they are good enough or not.

It’s why I ask for more info to be added to their rating because the game has the capabilities to log, it’s where all that info comes from in the first place, because trying to go through players logs while they sit asking for an invite to a key just doesn’t work, you are either going to run out of time before their application lapses or someone else picks them up.

Yeh some random keys I uploaded, but certainly not all of them. Go check my IO page, I have every week more than 5 M+ runs done.

“Most”…lol…no. I think you are severely overestimating how many steps the average player is willing to go through. There are people in this game who wouldn’t be able to play if they couldn’t press a giant blue “play” button.

Don’t stress about all the logs, remember the dps will still probably be applying and other good dps will apply if you miss the good ones. No need to worry about all 50 either, first of all you can make your life easier by doing a minimum score and ilvl. This will filter people you wouldn’t be inviting out anyways. Next, sort by raid score in warcraftlogs companion app, this will get you a glimpse at some good players to start out with because they will be on top.

I think people who do lower keys probably don’t log, in fact I know it because those people never have logs when they apply. But based on their score I wouldn’t be inviting them anyway. But a ton of people in high keys log, and you only need 1 in 5 to log it for the run to be logged.

Anything that requires more time than what the current system allows is just going to mean some days you won’t get to even do an M+. Limited iLVL and rating means if you put the limit too high you won’t get people applying, especially if it’s a bad dungeon that week or too low a key level, so you are limiting the chances of finding someone with logs.

You than have the issue that waiting too long for people to apply, trying to find the right people with the right class, spec and logs, it just means people aren’t going to wait. I can’t count the number of times I have been in groups where the key holder is just taking too long, people leave, healers leave, tanks leave, we don’t want to be waiting around for 15-20 minutes or more just to start a run, half of them are over in that same time.

There is a guy in my guild, current M+ rating puts him in the top 50 best BrM in the world, even this guy doesn’t log every key.

It’s a waste of time trying to find people with logs because those who do log anything are mostly not going to be applying for your key, they will run premade content more if they get the chance.

I mean they can go ahead and leave. Either another good one is in queue that I have my eye on or another good one is going to sign up. I’m not in a rush and I could wait all day for a good group. If they say anything about me being picky as well, I just kick them out.

People with logs are signing up for MY key, probably yours too but you haven’t been checking apparently so how would you know?

Because these kiddies get their panties in a bunch because someone doesn’t play the way they want them to.

Ya know, I actually tested this with some friends. Same dungeon on mythic 0, same group. In the first, the healer, a holy priest, was expressly forbidden to do any dps unless it was a heal of some sort. The second run, the healer had to put out some appreciable dps. In the third, we let the healer decide how they wanted to play.

No deaths in the first run finished it in a little less than 10 mins. 2 deaths in in the second run, finished in a little over 10 mins. Third run, healer did a little dps, no one died and finished in almost the same time as the first run. There was a 17 second difference. Yes, I used a stopwatch to time each run. Yes, an actual stopwatch. Don’t look at me in that tone of voice!

Let healers do what they’re going to do how they want to do it, or make your own damn healer and do it you way. Either way, all you kiddies whining about healers absolutely MUST be doing dps, and all you healers whining about having to dps should just keep your cakeholes shut because we don’t need yet ANOTHER thread on this garbage.

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

Where?

in regards to chastise, what’s annoying is it used to be a baseline spell, it’s now a talent and by selecting it, I have to forego putting points into a healing talent, which i’m not willing to do atm as I feel priest healing is weak enough now that we don’t have Flash Concentration.

I think the issue is that the M+ dungeons are too difficult for people to do, so they feel better if they just blame the healer vs recognize that M+ dungeons are supposed to be difficult to do.

Unless you’re doing 15+ keys you shouldn’t care how the healer plays, it’s only needed on high keys.

By all appearances, there are plenty of healers signing up for m+ who don’t want to do their job.

With how much people are saying “Oh healers need to deal dps” I have surprisingly seen very little disc priests, who’s job is literally heal through damage (last time i checked)
