To all you die hard healers out there

I am sorry. I decided to try out healing, because I enjoyed tanking so much. So I leveled a druid to 90 healing every dungeon and bgs I could, and I have to say sorry to you all. Tanking has it’s fair share of people yelling, being rude, and whatnot.

But holy moly do healers get picked on. I’m sorry I couldn’t interrupt the spellflingers, how is that my fault tho. And why would I get kicked for that?? Either I heal to little(everyone is alive) or I dont dps a lot in a leveling dungeon, or I’m just trash at the game and should never heal again.

Healthy respect to you all, I thought it was kind of overexxagerated on the forums, but it’s pretty bad. Now I see why you people have guild mates.:ok_hand:t6:

LOL I tell you not to pug unless you want the pain train especially now. Tanks don’t care about your mana or if folks die they just keep pulling. Just warn the group once then leave plenty more to join. Not fun to be abused for 30 minutes lol.

Sometimes it’s fun to let the tank get very low health so they get scared before you heal them.

Just to remind them who is really in charge.

Not gonna lie I did this once and he fell in line and stopped mass pulling in the nerubian place. Felt good lmao

They once did. Once upon a time the Tank was the Healers best friend, and vice versa.

Considerate Tanks are my favourite people in the Game.

(Alysiel, Holy Paladin Main. And all my many Healer Alts. If a Class can Heal, that’s my spec.)

I got kicked once cause while the tank rushed into hell in the very first mob pack, I wasn’t ready and getting quests and they kicked me right after. I was brand new, too. If he didn’t rush, I would had said I was. Feelsrip. I’ve only been playing a month and a half too lol.

I had no mana once and literally told him that and tried to eat and they kicked me for being too slow to eat… which… I’m still confused about. I’m sorry tho, people suck

See this situation is weird because I could be on my Warlock here. Notice a healer with low mana, ask them about their low mana and if they needed a break. And the healer would be snippy with me.

Like. Dude. Dude.

I love anyone who is considerate of me as a Healer!

But, I agree, there seem to be a lot of short-tempered, go-go-go types around today.

I’m guessing some healers are just so tired of the usual nonsense they become hyper defensive.

It’s crazy how people can’t wait 10 seconds for the healer to be able to heal.

I’ve tanked healed and dps’d both leveling and end game. Tanking and dpsing can get boring…healing can be exciting…
I recently started playing a monk again and the healing style is very different from when I last played…it’s fun

Then we all die and I get to pretend to be surprised “Oh no. Wha Happun?”

I was actually tanking a dungeon a few hours ago where we wiped because the healer rolled into 2 sets of mobs on accident. No biggie, accidents happen. She immediately whispers me and apologizes, of which I just say no problem.

We finish the dungeon, and we start talking because apparently shes been getting kicked all day because shes been making small mistakes or whatnot, and I felt kind of sad about it. Idk why, it just sticks with me.

Aha “chronic apologies” type. That happens with stress / abusive situations which I’m sure WoW feels like sometimes.

Yeah. I just feel bad about it, shes a super nice lady who plays to blow off steam from work, not to get yelled at in a game. Just seems a shame. So thank yall for putting up with crappy dps lol

Honestly if you’re fun to be around I really don’t care about how crappy or good the dps is lol

It takes a big person to admit their mistake and apologize for it. That’s a very rare quality in games and just in real life. I’d rather wipe a couple times and have someone own up to it than breeze through a dungeon with a bunch of elitists who berate people who may be learning.

I keep trying to move to different roles and I always end up back being a healer. Having the ultimate power of life and death over your party is just too addicting. There’s a certain sense of satisfaction I get when after I’ve told my group I need mana they pull anyway and I calmly sit there drinking my tea watching them die one by one.

I literally won’t heal anymore. I still play mainly classes with healing specs, like I DPS world content on my disc, but I won’t even go into a dungeon anymore on any healer. It’s not worth it.

I’ve leveled a hunter recently and the amount of disrespect directed towards healers is astounding, especially from tanks. IN LEVELING DUNGEONS.
