Thank you!
You are just a little over 300 topics viewed short.
Thanks, Orlyia. Is there anything else they want me to do while I have all my jumping hoops out?
At the moment, no - but all those decay over time.
Heh- That’s a coincidence. So do I (decay over time)!
can you check what I am short - because I am on here an awful lot I am surprised I lost it.
Around 8k posts read, Aqure.
I think there is something wrong there then but I guess I don’t care enough. I will just use ~ to post links instead. I spend far too much time on here already.
Thanks for checking though.
This is what TL 3 requires unless Blizz changed the metrics. You have to maintain that so, if you stop visiting or reading eventually the # of posts read, or days visited drops below the 100 day rolling window. Reading 20K posts is a LOT, and where most fall a bit short, like you did. Find a mega thread and scroll through it if you want to do it easily.

Ensure that when you read a post, the blue dot on the right-hand side disappears. I found that was my issue; with some devices, it stayed blue (unread) even when replying to posts. I know a few others mentioned having problems similar to mine. I check the forums on various devices: iPad, MacBook Pro, and occasionally my Windows laptop.
I have been on here almost every day this year. Maybe missed a handful of days. I probably read 100 posts a day at least so I think something is wrong if I am that short.
In any case, I could spend an hour scrolling through threads and pretending to read but it isn’t worth it for me.
I don’t see a blue dot on the right hand side and that is totally bizarre that it wouldn’t pick up you read a post if you replied to it.
Oh nvm, I see them on other threads now. Yeah, I can read faster than that so…
They had to reset accounts due to people getting it when they shouldnt have goten it
100 posts a day would only put you halfway to the requirement, as well.
They did not reset the accounts that I know of Darth. Certainly did not remove the posts read, days visited, or any other stats. They only removed the permanent TL3 permissions from the Beta group some people were in. It did not impact their overall stats. The most it would do is move someone to TL2 if they did not meet the TL3 stats.
It just means they don’t get TL3 from being in that Beta group. They have to get it based on the stats on the account directly.
Most posted and asked what they had to do and Blues told them how many reading posts short they were.
I lost my tl3 when they removed the beta group trust and i know i wasnt the only one.
Yes, you did lose TL3. Your account was not reset though. The change was that the Beta group no longer granted you TL3. You have to have earned it with your own stats on your character.
I will quote my explanation over on General about how groups and permissions work.
I did not explain the whole issue so that is my fault I guess.
The forum software has the ability to put people into “groups”. Those groups are units that have defined characteristics such as Trust Level permissions. The standard Trust Level system automatically puts people into trust level groups based on set criteria.
The forum software also has the ability to create groups manually, set up permissions on them, and put people into them. The error was that Blizzard manually set the Beta forum group to perma TL3 when it was not intended.
Blizzard fixed the permissions on the Beta group. Your account was not touched.
I feel that this has slightly gone off rails didnt quite mean for this i get what u meant bad choice of words on my end.
at least means the minimum not an average. In any case, it appears the problem is I don’t spend enough time on each post so haven’t been getting credit for them.
Yes, that was my issue.
