Boost Applied to Wrong Character (Selected New Character, Boosted Old One Instead – Not User Error)

I used my level 80 boost from the Epic Edition of Midnight and ran into a problem. I selected the “New Character” option, created an Evoker named “Could”, picked my spec, and confirmed everything. But instead of boosting “Could,” it ended up boosting an old Evoker I had completely forgotten about named “Angusmcfife.”

I definitely intended the boost to go to the new character (“Could”)—the name is cooler, and I wanted a fresh start.

Is there any way to fix this or transfer the boost to the correct toon?

No. Once a boost is applied, there is no way to transfer it to another character or revert it. Only option is to purchase a new level boost or level the character from scratch.

I’m not sure what, if anything, can be done. Just be aware nothing may be able to be done at this time, as boosts are technically final once applied.

If it boosted the wrong character when you selected New Character, make sure to post this in the Bug Report forum so that QA can take a look too. There appears to be a known issue at the moment as well. It doesn’t quite match your issue, but it is close. In that article, there is no workaround or solution that can be applied by GMs at the present time.

I get that but I didn’t boost the wrong character, the game boosted the wrong one. In one action it created the new character, had me choose the spec, confirmed that what i was doing was final, then it boosted the wrong character.

This was not user error. If it was I’d own it and pay for a nane change.

That would still be considered a bug, and there isn’t a workaround at the moment. Pretty much the only thing you can do is report it as a bug.

I don’t believe there’s anything a Game Master can do at this point in time. One of the Blues may look into it when they start work in the morning, but I’m not sure there can be an immediate resolution right now.

I agree it’s a bug, but the bug report forum won’t do anything about a paid service not received.
