It took 5 whole posts this time?
You began with subjective semantics, and kept defending it.
So no. I’m not going to agree with your fallacy.
Thank you.
IMO people who make these new posts should be flagged for spam. There’s a new vote kick post every 5 minutes. LOL
VOTE KICK RULES! RARELY USED, RARELY ABUSED, AND IT’S A GREAT TOOL TO USE WHEN THE GROUP AND 1 OTHER PLAYER HAVE DIFFERENT VIEWS.
The solution is really on us as a community. People need to:
- Have good judgment.
- Play the game and contribute to your group.
- Call out BS when you see it happening.
All of this could potentially solve the problem with no action taken by Blizz.
I didn’t begin with anything.
When I made my initial comment, you and everyone else had the context clues to understand what I meant when I said no reason. You even acknowledged this several times now.
But for some reason, not explicitly stating “bad reason” is a problem for you and you seem hung up on it, so you refuse to progress the conversation any further than that.
Getting bent over the fact that I said “no reason” is a semantics game, and now that we’ve moved past it, you still won’t move the needle forward any.
People can give any “reason,” yes. But we can all agree that not all reasons are equal and some are even stupid and bad regardless of how much you want to punch down on the “subjective” point.
I’m willing to have a conversation if you’d like, one that’s even amicable and cordial, but it can’t be done with someone who gets held up on the exact words used in a conversation. That’s simply counterproductive.
I think we should all play with a suicide machine strapped to us and when we do a vote kick. ding.
How when you keep defending it?
But also you say we’ve moved past it, yet you keep circling back to it.
Then move past it. You say Im hung up, yet you continue to do the same thing you accuse me of doing lol.
Another fallacy.
Tbh I don’t know why they haven’t replaced the fill in the blank with a multiple choice prompt like when you go to report someone.
Its definitely dated.
And the one place we don’t have the fill in the blank where it would be useful is the forums lol.
You are hung up on it.
I can’t reason with people who don’t want to be reasoned with. You believe what you want to believe. It’s evident you’ve been in this thread long enough to have convinced yourself that you’re in the right.
Have a good evening.
Yet if I am so “hung up on it”… you conveniently ignored the last bit
So much for me being the problem.
And even worse, you edited your post to trash talk more.
Because that response wasn’t addressed to me? I’m not so self-centered to believe to entire conversation is about me so I’m not going to interject where I’m not being addressed. Likewise, you shouldn’t be so self-centered to think everyone is going to read every part of your post, especially when you’re not speaking to them.
I mentioned this too. XIV does this and kicking is rare. Coincidence? Perhaps.
Reporting is both a dropdown and a detailed box, depending on how you report.
How did reporting come up? Where’d we go to get there? Are we reporting people now for vote kicks?
Yet this is a public forum. If you truly wanted a discussion and to move past it… why not simply ignore my reply to you and have productive conversation about the other thing that was said?
You don’t make any sense.
This isn’t private dms. You can reply to anything and anyone at anytime and it has NOTHING to do with being “self centered”. Its a forum for OPEN DISCUSSION.
It just came to mind since I like how the ingame feature works and how just copy/pasting that for kicks would be nice.
And a tangent, adding that to the forums as well lol.
I mean dude I want new/returning players to have a warm welcome.
I also would like my experience, my satchel, my w/e fast.
I just lean toward the former being more important than the latter. This is my 10th time doing X dungeon. Is the person I’m kicking for not meeting my standards really the thing that is wasting my time or am I just wasting time with excessive expectations?
Dude, I’m not obligated to address your responses to other people in a public forum just because it’s public. If you have something to say, then say it to me in our conversation, not to someone else with the expectation that people will just read it for you.
You don’t ignore a person standing with you in a group during a group conversation or in a business meeting with many people, right?
Same applies to a public forum. People will be responding to many or some or one or two.
It helps conversations to read posts. Otherwise, we don’t know half of what’s going on.
It’s a long thread. Stuff gets lost easy. But this has nothing to do with being “self-centered.”
No, but I also don’t respond to every comment made in passing in a group either, nor is there the expectation for me to do so.
I will say I think the penalty is a little goofy, but that said I think I’ve seen somebody kicked like…twice? And both times were a tank over pulling then blaming getting upset when the healer told them to please not do that again, I’ve even dc’d a few times and haven’t been kicked.
See I try doing that in most of my dungeons. I make it a point to ask if people want quests or bonus mobs. But not everyone is like that.
See in lfg, standards, if any, should be astronomically low
Is person not just standing there afk?
Is person not being a potato in chat?
Is person not interrupting the flow of the group or dungeon?
But its a random dungeon. You can’t expect everyone to be reasonable unfortunately.
Yet for someone who mentioned moving on several times, you can’t seem to move on yourself.
The forums aren’t this one dimensional thing you are making it out to be.
Participate beyond restricting yourself to one person or one convo.
Tbh you should. That seems like it would be exhausting limiting yourself in such a way just because.
