I never asked anyone for evidence in bad faith.
I thought we were past that. Can we continue and be amicable?

amicable! arf arf
The funny part is I can pull up threads from 2018 about this exact same topic, with some of the same people arguing the same things.
Someone asked about Snowfox today and then I went down a rabbit hole on their post history which took me to this thread. You were on a diff char then.
This is not too long after the forums switched over to the new Discourse software. Some things never change.
2018
The short list of constructive changes that we have talked about in this current thread is probably the only outcome that Blizzard might even consider.
Personally I don’t think the sky would fall if there was a 15 min deserter penalty instead of 30. I don’t think the world (of Warcraft) would end if we all internalized not being a jerk with a trigger happy VtK finger in very easy content either.
Those are things I certainly agree with Myzrym.
I still wish they’d be a little more transparent about any other features, systems or mechanics in place regarding VtK. But in most cases, I understand why a lot of stuff would be secret, for the same reason they don’t tell you how often you can leave M+ before getting suspended.
We come on here and argue about something, only to have another thread about it made so we can start it all over again.
Like Sisyphus and his boulder.
This whole being reasonable thing is very easy.
It took us two posts to say “Let’s do this thing together!” instead of 300 and arguing about laws, philosophy, and morality.
Yes, that is exactly why they are not transparent about it. They don’t want people gaming the system and trying to skirt the metrics.
I think there was a relatively recent blue CS post on it. A person asked about those internal systems and that was exactly what they were told.
This, we can absolutely agree on.
That was me, I am the person lol
Thanks for the link. That was a fun read
I don’t think most would disagree with that change.
Its unfortunate it always devolves into bickering vs what can be done and people looking for possible solutions other than flat removing things. (Which we know would most likely never happen)
Hey we’ve all been guilty of ignoring things just to argue in this thread. It’s been a doozy.
Just don’t kick people for no reason. That should be an agreeable position to make here.
Doesn’t help its mostly anecdotal vs anecdotal and which is matters more
See if the thread went like how it was going now, it would get more attention to possibly make a change happen.
I know when used to comb suggestions and forums when I was on the other end of it for another company… the second I saw fighting and whatever… next thread lol.
See that’s the main issue with this thread.
“No reason” is beyond subjective and just because it’s no reason to you. Doesn’t invalidate the reason for the other 3 to 4 people.
Its more like “don’t be a jerk and kick someone for getting lost/asking question/wanting to side track”… etc… etc.
To whom does this alt belong to I wonder
I guess???
That’s the point I made a few times. “No reason” to some is the same as the idiotic ones. It may be a “reason” in the literal sense but…
You have to think of it beyond 1 dimension.
“No reason” just means you don’t agree with the reason. It doesn’t truly mean “no reason”.
Its too subjective.
I’d go with “dumb reason”, because let’s be honest. Some kicks are really dumb.
