WELL-- That’s not quite true… You’d be surprised how effective a level 20s stealth rating is.
Couple years ago, there was this troll warrior I had a vendetta against. He was on the realm Moon Guard, which has a pretty low Horde population, SO-- I got it into my head to realm hop over there and murder him.
The way I did it was by creating 3 NE rogues-- all trial/starters and on separate accounts-- And then I got them all to level 20, so I could put them into War Mode where this guy liked to hang out… I positioned them around the Bank, AH, and portal room. Collectively, they were only killed 3 times in 1 month.
And I mean, I got so close to this guy that by using Elixer of tongues I could see a conversation he was having, in /say, with a BE priest about his rotation at one point. So yea, OP can totally sneak in.
Get someone to fly you in over the mountains in the east, and then from there, you can walk around the cliffs, largely unhindered by the npc, only to drop down at a spot of your choosing.
i haven’t tried lowbies sneaking into Org by walking since the Cataclysm update.
before: it was to run Ragefire Chasm, could make it to the dungeon entrance in about 3 death runs with a level 10, or best to ride along with the more-frequent-then FtA raids
after: fly in with the higher level booster, have them use their HGWT summon (before it was removed) or just use the finder tool to get direct ported
I used to go in stealthed on the northwest side where the little fishing area is. Basically the back entrance. Nowadays you probably can drop down from the cliffs over near the Cata portals or enter in the northeast corner that connects to Azshara.
If you’re going on that character though, it’s highly likely a guard will see you stealthed. Or a high level player.
Alright OP, even though us Rogues aren’t supposed to tell our secrets, I’ll do you a solid and teach you our super duper, never EVER fails, highly classified, way to get into ANYWHERE unnoticed.
For my rogue quest to kill an auctioneer the safest way to get in is the rooves of buildings by the AH.
other places you got some death drops if cliff jumping in. that as I recall you can get down from the cliff face behind not taking massive fall damage.
You do realize you will get shot out of the sky and dismounted by the guards if you fly in.
The best way in is to hop on the zepplin in Grom Grol Base Camo Actually. Never any horde there and easy to kill the npcs on the Zep. Just Shadowmeld on the back porch down below the main deck of the Zeplin and stealth into kitty mode. super easy.
I bet “worked great” means I got my donkey handed to me but managed to gank someone who dueled and was low so in my books it counts as an absolute win.
If you do make the trip and try this on this level 20, please record it and make it a video on youtube with no cuts/edits. Just be aware it’ll likely be demonetized because I’m pretty sure you can’t show savage violence otherwise.
Hope you had fun if nothing else but real quick FYI, I’d edit your screenshots to blank out player names that isn’t you (your chat box). That may or may not fall under “naming characters” and get yourself a forum vacation. I certainly wouldn’t report and doubt you did it maliciously, but rules are rules and someone is likely to do it.
Just open the image in something like Microsoft Paint and draw a black solid line wide enough to cover the names. It’s just a well meaning but weird forum rule. You can’t single people out and that includes in screenshots. Would this count? I don’t know but best not to tempt the whims of the mods.
