Tinkers: Which Use Missile Barrages, Mechs, and Pocket factories

Engineer: Which uses none of the above in combat.

I see where you’re coming from, but if you want to tank, wouldn’t you just go Protection?

Yeah Death Knights from WoW, is Death Knights from Warcraft.

But Death Knights from WoW are not Necromancers from Warcraft.

Warcraft Necromancers are from the Kirin Tor, wear cloth, command the dead not just summon them, and don’t use a sword.

Then why do you have all of Necromancer’s abilities?

So you really want a class that is a rehash of the themes of an existing class. With some of the exact same abilities?

It’s more for tight nitch groups really. Sometimes you would want an offtank that could offer strong dps. Back then it would be a warrior in a different spec using a shield. Although not all of them would use the shield but then their priests would yell at them lol.

It’s no more rehash then Paladin to Priest, Rogue to Feral Druid, or Monk. Mages to Warlocks or even Shamans. All these classes if you break them down as far as your trying to break down the Necromancer are all the same thing.

omg tinkers suck, they’re not even a proper class, more like a profession any class could technically be able to do, like engineering, if anything they ARE just engineers but with extra stuff.
yeah yeah I know they’re part of the warcraft lore, you’ve said that multiple times over multiple threads so far, it doesn’t make them fun, interesting or even viable for wow though.

Also: Rogue and Druid are not a good comparison. The entire purpose of druid is that it literally turns into other existing classes.

Death Knights. Monks, and Demon Hunters were all part of Warcraft 3, and now their classes.

That’s why you have Death Knight abilities AND Necromancer abilities.

Except DKs, Monks and DHs are quite interesting and far more fitting the entire theme of a magic fantasy world like WoW.
I don’t care if tinkers existed then, they are a dumb concept that would fit better into futuristic themed mmos rather than wow.
Making tinkers would be a complete waste of time, at this point if tinker is the only option I would rather never have a new class again and just have Blizzard fix and balance the existing ones, it would be a better use of their time and money.

There’s a million and one reasons to add Tinkers and you have Gnomes like Copperfield who will go 100 posts deep asking for a class we already have.

So you think Tinkers don’t fit in WoW?
But they’re in Every expansion, everywhere on Azeroth, and even in Warcraft 3.

So that’s just wrong. Empirically and provably wrong.

Then why are in WoW?

Tinkers existed in Warcraft 3, Classic WoW and in other Warcraft IPs as well from Hearthstone to Heroes of The storm… denying or trying to claim it isnt a “WoW” is just silly.

Exiles Reach the new starting experience you literally get help from a Tinker NPC.

One of The Island Expedition teams you fight is an entire team of Tinkers.

Then Blizzard will make them a proper class. Don’t pretend like Tinkerers are an impossible concept that can’t exist because of how Engineers are currently designed. Besides, what about Mages and Enchanting? The two can easily coexist.
