Tinker Class: Something Only WoW can do?

This is completely wrong. Unholy has a short rotational ability that summons undead minions to help you fight. You also have skeletons and skeleton mages.

In what universe is that not a Necromancer?

Again, Unholy constantly summons the undead. Super short cooldown if you talent for it.

Death Knight uses blood and bone magic to heal and protect themselves. Frost magic to destroy enemies, and Death Magic to raise and control the dead.

How is that NOT a Necromancer?

This is the Equivalent of asking for a class that turns into Animals and uses Nature Magic. While Pretending Druid doesn’t exist.

I think you’re agreeing with me, but it feels ambiguous…

Let’s be clear about what they’re doing. All three specs ARE using death magic, it’s just that death magic can produce different results

I agree with you to a Point.

I think that Necromancers are a class that fits well into WarCraft.

It’s just that we already have them. We have a Necromancer class. It’s called Death Knight.

Agreed.

The only point im trying to make, is that we Already have a class that fulfills the fantasy of being a Necromancer.

The same can not be said for Tinker.

Yeah that’s exactly what I was saying.

Well this Avaxxa’s universe of course! they need to wear cloth and summoning undead minions to be a Necromancer.

Also honestly some of the coolest Necromancers i can remeber are those who actually wear PLATE armor and are tanky badazzes, because they are much more than a “flee behind minions” but they actively call upon necrotic powers to raise and then lead said army.
I really want to say actual examples, but i for the life of me cant think of their names, but i want to think they are older DnD style games.

Necron Lord: best plate wearing necromancer ever…

Diablo Necromancers are technicically followers of a Priesthood. They believe in “The Balance” that there needs to be an Equal amount of Life and Death in the universe. They’re cool.

Heavily armored, of course.

You should learn more about WoW’s lore before you try to make such claims.

There is far more to Death Knights then “death magic” and the lore clearly supports that and by your own admission - you think that WC 3 is all that really deffines World of Warcraft - your missing a BIG foundation of the lore of the game your playing.

Queak summed it up pretty well and DK gameplay and lore supports it.

By your logic - Hunters are Tinkerers…They use guns after all and some even have robot pets.

Can you think of a Plate wearing “Necromancer” in WoW "(note - not a Death Knight…a Necromancer)

And the suit looks different depending on the race, much like how Druids have different animal forms.

My point entirely revolves around Gameplay.

Death Knights Summon Undead minions to help them in combat, Skeletons, and Skeleton Mages.

In what way does that not fulfill the role of a Necromancer?

In WC3,
Death Knights were a Fast Moving mounted unit, that could Shoot Death coils that Healed undead and hurt enemies.
They had Unholy Aura Effects.
Make a Death Pact for self defense.
And could raise an army of the dead.

In WoW you can:
Raise an Army of the Dead.
Shoot death coils that hurt enemies and heal undead allies.
Make a Death Pact for Self defense.
And you have Unholy Auras.
You even move faster while mounted! how about that!

How crazy.

This for sure! Along with added cosmetics to make you Mech unique. Engineers with Gnome or Goblin Engineering should also have a role in that.

I would rather they didn’t have race specific appearances. Maybe faction specific, like horde tinkers all have goblin shredders and alliance tinkers all have something like whatever mekkatorque had. Beyond that maybe decal options.

Every Time Blizzard adds a class, they go out of their way to make them completely unique.

Im almost certain Tinkers will have some sort of extra customization. If they get added.

Rest assured, If any new class gets added, Blizzard will go out of their way to make it more marketable.

I agree! Goblins and Gnomes!

But I think more than just goblins and gnomes should have access to a tinker class.

This Debacle always comes up:

Personally I think the “Must Have” races include:

Goblins
Orcs
Mag’har
Gnomes
Mechagnomes
Dwarves
Dark Irons

That doesn’t mean those are the Only ones that makes sense. But I think you absolutely have to have those.

Maybe toss Vulpera in too, To keep it balanced.
(And I’m a Huge HUGE fan of Ratchet and Clank.)

Ok…so Hunter Engineers are Tinkerers?

Hunters use Archery, Animals, And Embrace Animal Aspects and Nature magic. In all 3 specializations…

That’s a Hunter… Not a Tinker.

I don’t know how you’re drawing this conclusion.

In terms of MUST HAVE I would say the only ones aside from goblins and gnomes (mechagnome always being included when I only say gnome) would be the dwarves (and dark iron, just like mechagnome). After that, things that make decent sense would be vulpera, both orcs, undead, and human.

The things that make slightly less relative sense are the more arcane/magically oriented races, like all the elves, and the inherently non technological ones like taurens or something. But that all said it’s just engineering, which more than probably any other class can definitely be taught, and should be available to all races.
