Having said that, how is it any different for a person who starts playing classic after BG’s have been added than it was for a person to start playing vanilla after BG’s were added to vanilla? Answer, it’s NOT different.

So how does it satisfy people who don’t like 1.12 knowing that at best they will have 1.12 balance and only pre 1.12 content for maybe a matter of months?

And exactly how would you choose to allow “pre 1.12” content to exist indefinitely, since if it did not exist indefinitely, there would likely always be someone starting after all the content is available?

How would you propose to allow Classic to exist indefinitely as it is released before “stage 2” since “some people might prefer that version”?

How would you propose to allow Classic to exist indefinitely as it will be after “stage 2” but prior to “stage 3” since “some people might prefer that version”?

How would you propose to allow Classic to exist indefinitely as it will be after “Stage 3” but prior to “stage 4” (the final stage), since “some people might prefer that version”?

Well what about the concept of rolling servers, some which just exist for forever and some which roll over continuously. That way we get the progress at launch which hopefully basically keeps up with the average rate of content clearing. And for those who want the start state they get it to.

So, your answer is to split the community even more than sharding will already do?

Why am I not surprised? It seems that you found another way by which you think you can sabotage classic–which is apparently your ultimate goal, since you already lost your battle to prevent it from being made.

Don’t worry, I won’t. Like most mature people, I’ll accept that that I cannot go back to a “prior version” of classic, just as I accepted that I could not go back to a “prior version” of vanilla.
