They clearly giving us the OG / Vanilla Time walking experience. I remember this exact thing happening in RFK 20 years ago. Being able to chat, but no abilities work.
cleaned my cache still same problem, 2 diff dungeons first bosses and freeze, my whole party was frozen too and we were chatting about it
It still thinks your character is in the server. Have to wait 30mins for it to login your character out.
I did 2 TW no issues before i had to log off, probably a good thing i didn’t go for more right now lol
OK it seems the problem is caused by looting. Just tested this in Darkheart Thicket. Killed the tree boss and I didn’t loot it. Other people got frozen but I was fine, could still cast, mount, and do anything normally. As soon as I touched the corpse, everything froze as described above. Not sure if it’s just the first boss or any boss, but looting seems to be the issue.

Only had this happened to me once, had to alt F4 then use character unstuck.
I have read that looting the bosses can cause this problem, so try not to loot anything.

this is disappointing, I wanted to level my mage here.
Seems to be any instanced content. Hopped into LFR to get finery to catch up and completely locked out of my skills.

Just had this happen on LFR difficulty of SoD on Tarragrue, after a quick skip clear to the Jailer in Sepulcher on Mythic without issue. Cool, awesome, swell.
I feel like this is intentional to force people to do Blunderstorm while waiting to get back on their character.

Same thing happened in TW to me. Tried to loot first boss, couldn’t interact with the barrels, couldn’t use abilities, couldn’t log out. Had to force quit. Restarted the game, and couldn’t log in. Logged into another toon, working on a WQ, killed a named. Tried to loot and same thing happened with it.
Guess we can’t play any aspect of the game if we plan on looting.

It’s not just related to TW, or dungeons, or even raids, or instances. I had it happen to me while unlocking a building upgrade in my garrison on the specific character. It’s a deeper problem, which is very disappointing.

What a fiasco this game is becoming. Post your experiences in Bug Reports so someone hopefully notices it.
Blizz is a multi dollar company, we have to cut them some slack.

Looks like 2-3 hour maintenance again tomorrow the… Kinds glad I had to go back to work today. The Blunderstorm maintenance was bad enough last week, if this had happened as well it would have truly succed. 
I just ran a delve and it locked all the way up so appears anything group based is jacked up. and of course tried to log back into my toon and “a character with that name already exists” come on blizz fix your busted game!!! we are 20 YEARS into this and yall still cant get patches done properly??? is this thing even on???

I’ve tried to run Rookery 3 times and I’ve had the game “freeze” after killing the last boss, and I just tried to run a TW on a paladin, and “froze” again after killing the first boss. Would really like to hear from a blue on this.

Yup killed two bosses in a TW dungeon after that I couldn’t use abilities I’m getting really tired of how buggy this game is.
