Time to Split PVE from PVP entirely?

All diff reasons. Some were alt jumpers, just get gear and switch to the next, then stop till the following week. Wpvp, they just did bgs to get the gear for that.

Most people that went to the trouble of grinding gear in bgs did it because they enjoyed bgs. Maybe thats going out on a limb, but I dont think so. It was fun for pvpers and it gave us something to work towards. Raiders still had way more options for gear than we did, but that was cool at least blizz threw us that one bone. Now we dont even have that.

Back when we had resilience pvp gear was never used in raids. People had to have pve gear for pve content. The main reason why they even removed resilience was because pve players complained in world pvp they could not kill people in pvp gear.

Having two different sets was not good for the game. Glad they did away with it. If you really like BGs, for BGs not just for the gear, then you would still queue them.

By that logic raids shouldnt give gear either. Just do them because they’re fun.

I think it will never happen. Having to support multiple builds of the same game would be a developer nightmare. Even Classic will be using the same client and database systems we have now.

Why though? You still get gear doing BGs, just not pvp only gear. You can raid with pvp gear and vice versa.

It was tons of fun to do arena and rated bgs and random bgs. You had to plan out what pieces of gear you got from the vendor each week.

And it still is.

Exactly. I miss doing that. It was my favorite part of the game.

how so? I got all my gear from raiding and have no incentive to que up for rated bg. I can not pick my own items I want to get, I jump in to random from time to time and its fun but feels like something is missing. You have no goal to work towards, I have 2 separate wow accounts an on my other account I got Glad for a few seasons. The only point to doing rated now is going after titles and mounts, but I dont have time to be competitive like I used to. I que into random bg and murder people in 2v1 fights.

I like pvp I dont like raiding. Even pve gear doesnt matter much in pvp because you get buffed or nerfed depending on ilvl. Doing pvp be it bgs, bounties, or whatever should give pvp rewards.

What we are trying to say at the end of the day is, if you are going to split the two, and its slowly going to look like they are with the talents. You have to split the gear as well.

You queue it because you really like it. Could have higher ilvl gear from rated BGs, since even doing randoms I’m up to 370 rewards.

You dont really get the 370 ilvl gear unless you are rated that high enough.

Then you have no idea about the pvp system right now.

I know, I stated that above lol. First time I did not bother doing rated.

I really dont because the lack of PVP rewards make it uninteresting and I get my pvp fix from wpvp.

My next reward, which I cap just doing random BGs every night, is a 370 chest piece. My last reward was my 370 weapon.

So, what are the chances of getting the same reward twice? Really interested on how this works now lol.
