Time to consolidate races. GD version

I would like to merge them just to have more options. Maghar with classic orc hair colors for example. Or Using black rock skin tones on some orc warlocks. And with the normal orc voice lines.

Having an option to have different voice packs accents would be nice too. Humans/kul tirnas would be nice to merge and choose the accents from the human kingdoms. Could even add gilnean accents one of my favorite.

Which would be good, also adding in voice options for races would be a nice touch.

They can give humans different accents to represent different human kingdoms too.

We’re saying the same thing. I don’t care about players being stuck to one side or the other. Jaina’s helped Thrall and the Orcs and such. There’s plenty of times throughout history of the game that’s also happened. Jim the Orc can fight for the Alliance or whoever. That’s fine and dandy.

I’m saying why destroy Horde Vs Alliance AND do that? Progressivism can only apply to a game so much before it sounds silly… especially in a game called World of WARcraft.

So, basically you just want to not unlock them.

That’s not a reason to combine them at all. With all the concern over function, how about the fact they they’re FUNCTIONING FINE as is.

Nothing you quoted is a real reason, it’s a wishlist.

Because there is only the faction war? Not a single other war going on? Azeroth must be such a peaceful place…

But yeah, I think more or less we can agree on some parts here. I don’t want the Alliance and Horde to merge.
They can still be their own thing. Neutral races won’t destroy that. Players would just get a lot more freedom and could finally choose the faction they actually prefer.

I made a human paladin, I didn’t like him until they added more options for him. I also like my gilnean druid. If I could make my human go gilnean and keep the OP rep buff racial I would, I just love that accent.

I can’t wait till they add more human options because I like farming rep on shamans and human racial would just be nice to do it with. Having the option to use the kul tiran bodytype and accents/gilneans would be awesome.

I also have to wonder if the Lordaeron accent is there or representative of stormwind. Since many of the Lordaeron humans turned into undead and now speak gutter speak for some reason. I think undead should probably know common as well lol. Them having options/undead versions of gilneans and kultirans would also be awesome. And help explain new combos for them. Undead druids could just be undead kul tirans from the fourth war. We See Thomas Zeiling be like the first undead shaman we see in the horde so that would be nice for example. To all the humans we can play as. The horde has undead xD, it would be nice to have fresh human options as the forsaken, since we see many of the popular undead figures use the undead model.

I don’t mind them combining them so long as they add some nuance as to why you can use certain ones such as the Zandalari.

It’d be highly confusing if someone was playing a Zandalari, do some of the quests in, say, MoP and be fighting the Zandalari. xD

That is only one portion of the entire thing.

I also do not want paladin lore to be mired by void elves, so they need to be refocused on high elves which is what blizz is already doing.

I also realize most AR options is simply the same as unlock customizations like dark ranger options or night warriors.

I also see AR’s continued existence pointless because of the all classes all races ideology, thus erasing the culture aspect of choosing a race.

I also want blizz to be forced to update all races, conslidating will help with that.

There is also the problem with balancing racials. erasing some will help that.

And many many more reasons.

Totally for that. I wish they treated player characters like the 3rd party factions such as the Argent Dawn. They got Humans, Undead, Orcs, etc etc…

But KEEP the war/strife between the Alliance and Horde. It’s one of the biggest driving factors of the game and is, frankly, the best ongoing story in the whole games history.

This is a terrible idea.

Leave them as is, remove the prereqs and also make more ARs.

If they where going to make more AR’s, they would have done so already bruh.

Like for example there is enough things with wild hammers that could had been made into an AR, and what do you think they did with that?

There might need to be more reasons to do so. If there’s some reason to go back to Outland, then maybe they add in the Broken to the Alliance.

I was thinking about this actually, I think it would be better if they gave alliance broken (outlands) as a model toggle for dreanei, this way they can avoid the awkward how they can be paladins now when they lost that ability due to fel curruption and pretty much ruining the dreanei shaman story too. Since customization is not the same in blizz’s eyes as races.

Blood Elves were Paladins with Fel Corruption. Was their largest arc. Mind you they were subjugating a Naaru to do it but… :person_shrugging:

Allied race isn’t a bad concept. I think locking it behind a myriad of crappy quests is the main problem. I wouldn’t mind a 10’ish quest introductory to who they are and why they are joining the Alliance early on. I think that’s the real problem with Allied Races.

Yeah, you just want to not unlock them.

I’m gonna go now, have fun posting a million times about how balance and stuff is why this is a good idea.

Blood elves didn’t have fel curruption, at least not in the same sense as the broken. Their eye color changed due to fel radiation from the crystals, but they did not change biologically.

That story had allot of material to cover, but that isn’t for here.

Generally I’d agree. But only if race/class options does not comprise of all classes/races. It defeats the point if every race being every class.

Yeah it can be, I agree. Some of the AR’s is behind large walls of quests which is silly.

/currently posting on a unlocked AR, which he unlocked when rep’s was still required.

K, karen.

This is a weird response from someone who made a wall of text with a weirdly imperative tone about what Blizz should do with ARs.

You asked for my opinion, I gave it. :dracthyr_tea:

Fair enough.

But I don’t think they will add in more AR’s given the reception of the idea of unlocking them, for little gain (most are just skin color swaps)

Having a different opinion is trolling? Just because I exposed your ridiculous attempt to insert high elf for alliance AGAIN inside your cringe idea?

Thanks for confirming my whole point. This whole post is all about alliance getting high elves.

Already proved.

Also WRONG.
They became paladins by infusing the power of the LIGHT being channeled off M’uru.
