I’m on Aerie Peak. I almost always see folks posting in General about a rare train or help downing a rare. When I do down a rare with others, I always ask if folks want to start a rare train. I work from home, and I can do this in the middle of the work day. Like, ZERO issues. Plus, I find rare trains a lot on Group Finder. But I acknowledge that there might be other folks who are having a hard(er) time, especially depending on server population and which realms (if any) you’re connected to. Of note, I most often see Sargeras and Area 52 players with me.
Now ask me how successful I’ve been trying to get four people together to do the rare summons in the Maw … /facepalm
Yeah, the last rare in Researchers literally went to 20% with one person that hit it once lol. Then stayed there for awhile till he died. He did die when the 20% health on the bar was gone. I had zero input lag, so have no idea.
I thought sharding was created to sort out issues like this. I am beyond confused. It’s like we have the disadvantages of shards without the supposed benefits.
The issues with the Rifts joins an ever growing line of bugs and problems with this patch that makes me wonder if Blizzard is even capable of delivering decent quality content anymore.
I’m so tired of the Temporal Points going back to 0 every time it hits 500 the first time. Every. Single. Time.
There’s so many times we failed to get the Purple Box because of it.
And just now, my ENTIRE SHARD of like 100 people got phased into another shard, and our time rift changed from the Legion one to the Alliance/Horde one.
I think the excuse is in 2 weeks no one will be doing them anymore so itll eventually fix itself.
ED is a super-dead realm.
I’ve tried to do the event five times.
- The first time (Old God boss) all of us were kicked out with no loot instantly when the boss went down. I had used a “guaranteed loot” token on accident. It didn’t give me anything.
- The second time (Mechagnome boss) through all the lag I managed to finish the boss and got a cosmetic sword on the character that hadn’t used a loot token, just flakes on the one that had.
- The third time I got the Old God boss again, there was a quest-giving item inside, no loot of note besides quest completion
- The fourth time I got the airship fight. Stood clicking on the jetpack with nothing happening until the boss was dead, didn’t get a tag, didn’t get credit, got booted out.
- The fifth time (Legion boss) I rubber-banded up the ramp for a while only to find the boss fully dead at the top, no tag, no credit.
It’s not my computer and it’s not my connection, these are server issues. Everyone else I was in the instances with were affected also.
This only would’ve been worse if the time rifts were in Stormwind for some arbitrary reason and they decided to re-shard the capital cities.
You -really- gotta chill, my guy. You’re out here throwing hands at noone. You think I got a private line to Ion and I’m in his ear telling him to keep open world players down? Why you so mad, honestly? What did -I- do to you? Blizzard in their ivory tower celebrating because they get a pass while you wet your diapers in my direction.
Most of those things have happened to me as well - the ‘guaranteed loot giving no loot’ is particularly frustrating, and the airship one is maddening.
Agreed. I do not have these sorts of issues elsewhere, only in the Rifts. It is like the old world boss nonsense from Shadowlands magnified x 100. If they cannot manage a patch event such as this…I dunno what to say really.
Just wondering if anyone encouter the same issue as I did. The first time I completed the time rift, everything went pretty smooth. Then, from the second time on, the rift objective is always stuck after completing the second one. I still get the reward boxes, but I just can’t see new objectives.
Just calling it how I see it, they leave open world content broken for weeks, yet a raid or dungeon isn’t working, gotta get that fixed asap. Ion and Co are the worse thing to happen to this game. He has consistently failed time and again.
He was handed Legion after WoD, and failed to capitalize on it’s relative success. Every expansion under his watch has had great raids and Mythic+, but fallen so far short in every other form of content and he and the rest of the Dev team need to be held accountable for the failures.
If I were at a job and failed this many times over, I would have been shown the door years ago.
World content players are starting to realize they are lowest priority for this Dev team, and are getting sick of it and leaving, and if anyone believes the raiders and Mythic+ players can keep this game alive without any of the open world casual players, just look at games like Wildstar, catered to only the hardcore crowd and where is it now.
I’m just sick of the BS, and want better for this game, but that won’t happen with Ion and Co in control.
Yup, had that happen as well. Temporal Essence resetting, and I got sharded out from a crowded one to a more empty one, and lost so much progress. Barely even got a green box from that one.
Some good testing over at blizz end and of course PTR that no one really reports stuff
That happened to me on my most recent rift. I was given a task to pull on fel vines but there were no objects glowing to click on or any area or markers displayed on the minimap. It sat at 18% until the boss portal spawned and that rift was unable to get the full 7500 essence for the purple shard box (despite ~100 players mowing down everything in sight). I imagine a good chunk of us were stuck on that bugged task. This whole feature is in dire need of fixing.
Did it just now, Soridormi stopped handing out objectives to anyone about a third of the way through and we only got a blue chest despite a billion people being there, doing it. Old God boss again, one character got a transmog sword and the other just got flakes.
You lack nuance. He didn’t fix it because of the ‘poor little dungeoneers’, he fixed it because it made the game too easy. He took dungeons down and fixed it ASAP because it was a game breaking bug that could be viewed as benefitting the player base. If there was a world content bug that resulted in experience and levels above level cap, that would get fixed -IMMEDIATELY-.
This has nothing to do with dungeons, raids, or world content. Bugs that are detrimental to players, bugs that hinder our experience are simply lower priority than bugs that can be seen as benefitting players. Period.
They’re not wrong for fixing these bugs, obviously, but it is just simply a fact that these sorts of issues take priority. Every single time. As an example, there was a bug in season 1 M+ in Algether Academy, where sometimes you just couldn’t spawn the bird boss. You couldn’t throw one of the orbs. How long do you figure that took to get fixed? Because it took months.
They’re screwed up on dead servers, too.
In addition to the jet pack obviously being broken and getting no loot (honestly? I wasn’t even surprised, given how broken feast was and for so long), what disappointed me more was it was just the third reskin of a Hunt, like the one in Caverns. How pedestrian.
I’ve liked everything else that I’ve tried in Dragonflight, but this honestly sucks.
It’s pointless to do on my main, and my alts get nothing. It’s so laggy I die every single boss fight because I can’t move out of the fire because the server doesn’t register me moving until 30 seconds later. I can’t heal, I can’t even effectively DPS. It’s awful.
I was excited about the transmog pieces, but this is just abysmal. Whole thing feels terrible.
