Time Limited is Unhealthy for Everyone

I’ve been advocating for evergreen content like Heroic World Tier and Perma-Remix since Classic was first announced, and with every FOMO event like Plunder and Remix. I explained the logic, discussed with old friends and newer players of all levels, all agree logic and escapism are antithetical to FOMO. The fact OP post was hidden is absurd, a sign of the times where people would rather signal than think, instinctually swarming as short-termed mobs rather than looking for value and fulfillment. Games are for escapism, and MMORPGs thrive on certain ideas and rulesets. When these are superseded by short-term metrics and gains - the plot is lost, and players quit in droves. Nothing new under the sun. This all also has to do with anti-human, postmodern ‘philosophy’ graduating fake economists, designers, ‘social analysts’ etc. There’s a good reason everything in entertainment today looks alike and is unfulfilling. It’s all traceable to education. When the product is tethered to reality, to the methods that made it successful, and to player inclinations as human beings - things like agency, customization, fun and fulfillment arise as natural values and are self-evident as the most profitable long-term as well. It’s simple logic, no need to arbitrarily reinvent the wheel every day, for no reason at all.
