They have said literally it is for solo and groups.
Ok there shouldn’t be any 1 shot stuff in something for casuals, especially on a level 5. Level 8s will basically be unplayable for anyone but the sweatiest mythic+ players.

Best bet is to find a group if you refuse to press the change spec button. Otherwise just play Elemental. I’m a Holy main but run shadow for playing alone.
Let’s be honest there is no reason to gimp yourself solo play by running a healer spec

To be fair, this isn’t the type of game that requires twitchy reflexes outside of pvp and other very rare occasions. Some of us do have fairly slow reflexes even for WoW though and I agree that it’s on us rather than the game to do something about that. 
They aren’t going to agree with you. Ultimately it comes down to player metrics and how many people are actually completing them. Blizz must bend to the will of the players and if people aren’t doing them they will have to be nerfed.

Well luckily, the forums complain about any difficulty. So this isn’t just a delves thing. Maybe Blizz will just not listen, because as a solo player who just uses lfg/lfr, the challenge is actually nice. (I also loved Mage Tower, so this is nothing new for me)

A casual player is someone who doesn’t play regularly or very often.
Someone who stands in the bad and refuses to temporarily hop into a DPS spec isn’t a casual player, they’re a crappy player.

The problem with delves is that they are an absolute cakewalk for something like a blood DK, and almost impossible for healers and certain dps. Not to mention most of the mechanics are just a slog and tedious/boring.
Solo gear progression like this is direly needed in the game, but the content needs a lot of tweaking.
I really don’t see why they don’t just extend AI parties to mythic and key runs. Whether you’re playing with people or not, if you do your part, then you’re successful. Just have team failure as an RNG at the rate that regular teams do.
