It’s flat out impossible for WQ’s in BFA to compete with WQ’s in Legion. I mean, when we say “WQ’s,” the primary vehicle for that is the daily emissary. The emissary chest in Legion was a core delivery device for legendaries. BFA’s world quests just can’t be competitive with that.

M+ could use some one-off cosmetic rewards for sure, I understand that, but still infinite progression PVE.
No tier sets in the first raid regardless, so same as Legion.
Allied races are a new thing wholly, and I’m sure they aren’t in love with the whole situation, but the rep is the story required for these races to join us, and they are nerfing leveling MASSIVELY in a few weeks.
Will probably be quicker than it was prior to the original change.

Its fine to dislike these things for sure, but why make comments like “the company knows there isn’t much content.”

Please guys, stop making stuff up like this. Its factually wrong to say this, regardless of if you like the content or not.
They are pumping more and more content into this game every patch, and the patches come out like twice as fast as they used to.

I’m pretty serious about there being so much to do that it makes people think there is nothing though, for real.
You’d need to spend 40 hours a week on some of these content pathways, so it makes it feel like there is no point.

I feel like THIS is actually the biggest problem with BFA. Pretty much everything in the game makes people feel a certain way that is counter to the point and implementation of the system.

I think its pretty clear in your reply, especially listing things like World quests not being worth doing after a massive buff to the rewards, and Tier despite no first raid ever having it.

How does Blizzard parse this type of information, when it makes you FEEL a certain way, but its basically contrary to everything logical about the comparison?

Seems like they need psychologists, not game designers, on staff.

I actually would agree with a lot of this. The amount of content, in terms of gameplay, is at least equal to Legion, probably a little greater, and the new gameplays of Island Expeditions and Warfronts have more expanding potential as new patches arrive.

That said, the feeling of there being a lack of content is coming from two real phenomena:

Dramatic mishandling of reward structures. I think BFA is probably the worst Blizzard has ever done with reward structures. Island Expeditions massive RNG based loot table has been one big, bad experiment. Mythic+, which I’ve not really been engaging with admittedly, gets a lot of flak for the reward not matching effort. Rather than offering “infinite progression” what it really offers is one good chest per week for doing a 10, and once that chest has resulted in someone not getting an upgrade a few times because of bad luck RNG, they often start losing interest. This was a bit of an issue in Legion, but they buffed mythic+ dungeons to be harder in BFA, so the issue has become more pronounced now. The biggest issue of all is just that Azerite gear, at a foundational level, is something people find more annoying than rewarding.
Flopping of the current gameplay of Island Expeditions and Warfronts. I think these things have tremendous potential, but it’s potential that’s entirely untapped right now. They are planning improvements to the gameplay of island expeditions and warfronts both, so we’ll see how that shakes out. But, at least for 8.0, it’s fair to say both those features were disappointments out of the gate, and not in ways that should have taken Blizzard by surprise.

A lot of improvements are planned, but a lot of things shouldn’t have gotten to live in the state they’re currently in. And currently, I still feel like Blizzard is failing to recognize how bad their reward structure in BFA has been. Depending on what they announce for upcoming Island Expedition reward changes, I may revise my opinion.
