Ticked off

I really didn’t have a problem healing as resto because I very much enjoy it, so I get where you’re coming from. My guild is kinda meta slaves, but we just wanna get the thicc loot and not risk any biscuits.

If you do not like playing with those people ,just don’t. They will break you with their rules: one mess up and the wipe is blamed on you. Have fun and enjoy the game and play what you desire homie! Be creative and maybe you can show ppl that feral or balance isnt that bad at all in hardcore pve/pvp.

They mean the boss is being debuffed. If you’re a shadow priest or an affliction lock ect you will not be allowed/able to put some of your damaging abilities on the boss, because they just wont fit or worst case they bump off something that needed to be there like demo shout. You will not be able to play the full breadth of some specs no matter how understanding your raid is because the game doesn’t make it possible.

It’s been shown that feral druids specced into tanking don’t get passed up till full BWL, especially if you can get a few tanking items from MC (ring and neck).

As far as 5-mans go, once you get a warden staff, make the commitment to level enchanting to get a Smoking Heart of the Mountain, and choose the proper quest items (that don’t interfere with ANY rewards for resto btw), you are just as good, if not better than warriors till they get raid gear.

Once you hit 30, you can get all the basic tank talents and a pull with feral fairy fire. Once you get to 40, and get Dire Bear…it’s all over!

And FYI for other ferals…leveling as Bear is not that much slower, and is REALLY nice for hard/elite mob quests.

Enjoy.

Some people in classic have a lot of trouble thinking outside the box when it comes to group composition.

I’ve seen the same people spamming in chat for 20+ minutes begging for a tank so they could finally run measly dungeons like RFC or WC - that’s crazy. I ran RFC and WC both using my Voidwalker as a tank and just picked up an extra DPS to fill in the spot. Didn’t miss having a Warrior at all.

The higher leveled the content gets the more rigid the role requirements become, but people blow those requirements waaaay out of proportion from the start. Just form your own group imo

Watch videos from Skarm, it’ll widen your point of view regarding bear tanks.

To do remotely OK DPS, Affliction requires FOUR Debuff slots: Curse, Corruption, Siphon Life, and Immolate. AND you will still apply the ISB debuff. Thats FIVE.

So… lolwut, m8?

Lol 5 mans arnt hard if your group is trying to min/max in 5 mans they are nothing but ignorant bad players. Iv tanked, dps, and healed in all the 5 mans iv done without any issues or being carried. The game is EASY.

This doesn’t maintain throughout the game, though. You cant tank later instances with a VW.

You can heal as any spec sub-50, really (provided you have enough Int on your gear not to OOM). You can tank as a Shaman sub 40.

But you will not be able to do those things later.

You’ll need some main specs, but guilds can run with a few off specs.

Wrath balance was a joke. Death knights and paladins started overpowered and by the end several classes had spent the entire expansion getting buffed.
And dont get me started on the homogenization it brought.

This isn’t 2005, you can play whatever class/spec that makes YOU happy.

If you want to raid, you’ll find a guild.

If you want to PvP, you’ll find a guild.

It’s all about how well you play your CLASS, not just your spec.

Seems fine to me. If the hardest content can be cleared without optimal comps, which it already has then to me balance isnt even something we should be talking about. Frankly, its totally irrelevant.

No? SM/Ruin is Aff, and is second only to DS/Ruin - but not that much. And it’s better than DS/Ruin in every other part of the game.

What Affliction Warlock would even use Immolate?

Exactly what im doing as well. I hate playing the easy classes.

Feral is absolutely viable as an endgame tank for like 95% of all content. Those who say otherwise really don’t know what they’re talking about. Feel free to look up Skarm tank, he has plenty of info on the subject.

Feral is usually not as good for most raid bosses, but some (mostly purely magical) they’re better at. Not to mention they’re very flexible, and can fulfill multiple roles quite well. As an OT a Feral can out-DPS a Prot-spec’d Warrior as well.

It’s probably because it may make a difference for end game, in some respects. As a druid, I suppose one reason might be because of lack of non healing tier sets, though that won’t prevent you from being a good tank for a lot of bosses, for example.

If you want to play feral DPS, you will be working harder than, but doing less damage than a mage, for example, in raids.

I don’t know how much it matters to you how things are at current levels, but I’d gladly have the feral tank an instance while I dps as a warrior

I would think that shadow priests likely have a harder time justifying their place (and claim to gear) over others at end game.

It’s interesting to note that the full saying goes, "A jack of all trades is a master of none , but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

It’s the same thing as, “blood is thicker than water” when the real quote is, “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb” which is the direct opposite of what the bastardized version means.

Or, y’know, like the horrendously misquoted Skywalker lineage reveal.

Spec HoTW spec. Gives you enough feral to tank and offtank (even in raids), and enough resto to heal. You’ll have to carry tanking and healing gear around, but that’s not a huge issue. AQ40 has nice stuff for a Druid, you can tank in Naxx with that gear.
