Thwarting the Twins: Raest Magespear

Which one of you are going to give up first. My god.

Probably me, I’m just here until the second round of coffee finishes brewing.

Mmmmmm coffee… I’m out.

does the shadow priest challenge require more slows for it to be completed?

better means nothing. do they have the ability to do it now?

None of these means what you think it means,

What does borrowed power give, that cannot currently be dealt with.

it kind of does.

I disagree, there are clear changes that take into consideration the different class changes.

Show me an example of this.

you can keep stating this all you want, but you have yet to provide proper examples.

that’s actual what you should have to do, if you’re gonna claim what you have.

Whos speaking like they know best here?

its really not hard to find information.

sure but if the goal was to extend the phase, slowing the stacking buff seems like the change.

Lol, ya I’m done. Only so many ways I can try and explain things…I try to be objective and give specifics to “hows and whys” but when it falls on deaf ears or close minded individuals it becomes not worth it.

Anyone can search any posts or responses I made on any topic in the past and see that I take an objective, “from the outside looking in” stance when I discuss things and try to see all sides and discuss relative things and give releveant details without my personal bias affecting it. I have a self admitted difficulty when I encounter anyone that has a view of something through a teeny tiny lense and refuse to think that there are other things outside that lense they may not be able to see.

You get one more.

The entire raest/karam encounter is essentially based around kiting things. Have you done it on boomkin? IIRC, they have the same encounter.

Less reliably than at the time. Odyn’s fury and the survival aoe made quick work of them. The former also had a 50% chance to full heal the warrior.

No it doesn’t, and I’m not debating this.

Go look up how legion classes worked, not my job.

We’re not having a formal debate, so no I don’t. I’m not here to convince you.

well the shadow priest MT has been done, so the clearly have a method available to them.

But that means nothing. what’s with people obsession to compare it to the past? The fights are possible with the current kits. It would be like saying if i had “insert ability from vanilla that doesnt exist anymore” the fight would be so much easier.
bears could interrupt at range with faerie fire. it would be really easy to handle the fight if i had that.

You posted with what intent then? to me it sounds like you just dont have any justified arguments.

Fight! Fight! Fight!
Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!

So, how’s the weather? lol

I recall differently.

MT threads are how I learned how the ignore list works.

The problem with this analysis is that the determining factor for progression in the fight is downing Karam and Hands from Beyond. The amount of time it takes to down Karam and the Hands from Beyond is comparable to that in Legion.

OMG a response that seems thought out and not just based on “my memory”
Thank you.

now which part were you referring to, I do tend to reply to multiple people at once.

They’ve changed it so now Raest chases you if you outrange him, so there’s no slow cheese anymore. And the Warlocks in the post are absolutely correct in saying it was always supposed to be Raest dies first. The enrage is definitely meant to kill. And I did this on Aff, Frost, & Boomy.

Thank you!

It’s the post where you look at the ratio of health of the different NPCs to conclude the encounter is easier in Shadowlands. Looking at average DPS in comparison to the health pools would likely show that the tuning for health for Karam and the Hands is close to what it was in Legion. Therefore Raest’s health would be inflated.

The difficult part of my analysis is that I don’t have exact numbers from Legion. Can just base it off what I see from old videos.

that was just proving how silly so many peoples math is, because i can take the same values, and get a different number. and my number “looks” more legit because its the same percentage change on both karam and the hands.

this is what i’ve claimed in other places as well.

Again my math is not my proof, its more of an anti proof.

I will attempt the Shadow MT when I get home from work in a couple days and see. Everyone said the Holy Priest tower was impossible week 1, but it really was very easy after P1. P1 was kinda hard, but trivial once you figured out the CC pattern and how to deal w/ timing. I plan to do the Disc/Shadow Priest challenges once I have time/good internet. I feel like with the correct talents and strat all of these challenges are very possible.

Did they stealth or not yet announced nerf the Twins health? I just went in and it was like 134K Raest and 34K Karam and I thought it was higher on my Spriest before. Raest being 150 or 160 something.

No idea, haven’t heard or read anything. I’ll have to look at the affy encounter tomorrow. Raest had 70k life on PTR then all of a sudden 201k health when it went live for at least the Affliction warlock encounter, I know his health pool was much different on other classes. Interested to find out.
