Thrall's Family

Did they die?

I watched the video over and over and it seems his family is dead.

This would explain why Thrall disappeared.

Thrall is now living in Nagrand with his wife and two children. He is happy and away from Horde politics.

What video are you talking about?

We didn’t see his family in the video, he left to go fight for the Horde.

Where was the let me say good bye video.

Plus, “I’m no one savior”, to me that implies something happened here.

He looked like a mess to be honest and its not Thrall to just walk away from things.

He was referring to how he failed Garrosh. After the events of WoD, Thrall left the picture to raise his family. We didn’t see his family because he was alone at the time. I doubt Saurfang would purposely lead the assassins to Thrall while Thrall was still around his family. They were most likely just somewhere else.

I don’t think it had anything to do with Garrosh.

Garrosh was a grown Orc, Thrall looks sad in that video until he realizes people want him dead.

The mood of the CGI just seems sad in my opinion from the beginning until the very end of it.

No he’s not. Saurfang forced Thrall to come back, then died and now Thrall is part of council. And going to temporary die in shadowlands. He abandoned his family for no reason, cause he’s useless anyway.

Saurfang: “So, this is home now?”

Thrall: “Home… and family.”

Saurfang: “And where are they?”

Thrall: “NOT FAR”

Lol what? No.

I took it to be the realization that he couldn’t leave that life behind.

I’m sure someone will go “well what he really means is their graves are not far away from his home.”

Well, his family is not with him in Ogrimmar like they were with him in Legion in Dalaran City.

I mean, if I had undead assassins coming after me the last thing I would do is leave my family behind.

No they didn’t die. He left to go fight for the horde.

That’s actually a signature Thrall thing.
He literally does it multiple times throughout WoW’s history.

Name the scenarios?

Instating Garrosh and walking away from the Horde.
Instating Vol’jin and walking away from the Horde.
Killing Garrosh and walking away from the Horde.
Losing Doomhammer and walking away from the Horde.

I wonder what’s going to do it next.

As far as we know from the safe haven cinematic Thrall “retired” to Outland, specifically Nagrand, and took his family with him. The only thing that Thrall says about them is that they are not far from the house when Saurfang goes to meet him.

With these facts in consideration the most that can be gathered is that they are alive and well because Thrall goes to some lengths to keep them away from danger.

They will have their role to play later

Will always need more bosses to kill or bait to plant.

When he appointed Garrosh to lead the Horde in his absence it was because he had Azeroth to save from the crazy Deathwing dragon.

That wasn’t walking away that was taking care of the Horde.

When he gave reigns to Vol’Jin he realized he made a mistake in Garrosh.

That wasn’t walking away that was owning up to his mistakes.

Killing Garrosh was owning his mistake and he didn’t walk away he still was there during WOD.

Losing Doomhammer is where things went wrong for him and nothing has been explained why he left.

He was also targeted by the Legion.

It doesn’t matter what the reasons really are.
Thrall habitually abandons the Horde to it’s fate almost every expansion.
It’s part of the reason why I heavily dislike Thrall these days.
He’s no longer a character, but a plot device.
