I think its been subtly implied that the reason we’re able to get away with as much as we do in the Maw is because we’re a spark among old dry newspapers while Tyrande is Napalm next to a warehouse of TNT and nukes. Basically, she’s causing so much devastation in the Maw and Torghast that we have to actively work to catch the jailer’s attention.
I think it’d be neat if she pulled a Cata-Deathwing like event where she’ll randomly sweep through the Maw and just destroy everything.
The Draenei with their orbital space ship might have something to say about that. It’s also ignoring that the Night Elves reclaimed Darkshore, possibly Ashenvale, and are also situated on Hyjal currently. Likewise, there’s no indication they left Feralas.
Comparatively? Sylvanas lost the Horde the Eastern Kingdoms. The Undercity was lost, as was Brill. The Alliance reclaimed Stromgarde and Arathi. Even if Hammerfall stands, it’s landlocked with Stromgarde within spitting distance. Gilneas has technically been reclaimed since Cataclysm. The Horde’s presence south of the Ghostlands is tenuous at best. All they have otherwise would be Grom’gol in Stranglethorn, and Stonard in the Swamp of Sorrows, both of which are located not that far from Stormwind, and Stonard isn’t far from Blackrock either, which is now held by the Dark Irons.
Honestly? Sylvanas left the Horde in a far worse state than she came into it as Warchief. The Forsaken are displaced while the Alliance has mostly gained control of the Eastern Kingdoms. The Night Elves haven’t been as easily displaced.
Sure they have … they have almost been exterminated . Long living beings such as Elves don’t have large populations … hopefully enough have been killed off. Otherwise Horde may need to match towards Hyjal in the future. It’s pretty close to Orgi
Not sure how. Tyrande is a bada** and has always been. This hate for Tyrande is just another “Jaina is a dreadlord” meme. Any time an alliance leader is written to be hostile towards the Horde it’s treated like it is irrational and bad.
The Night Elves were strong enough on their own to match the Horde and Alliance forces on Kalimdor during the Third War. I think you grossly underestimate their numbers. Likewise, the War of Thorns happened while their armies had been dispatched to Silithus to secure Azerite. The Horde wiped out civilians, not soldiers. The armies of the Night Elves are in tact.
It’s probably also worth noting elves mature at a rate comparable to humans. So, given 16-20 years, you’ve got a fully mature elf.
That won’t end well after what happened to Teldrassil. I doubt the Horde will ever be allowed near Nordrassil, ever.
Helping Tyrande and Jaina is such a terrible lore payoff for Horde players. I get that we’re supposed to be mad with Sylvannas, but why would any Horde soldier want to help those two? I’d spit on their graves for what they did to my friends(fellow Horde soldiers).
Lol. But the cataclysm in reverse. She’s gone full on momma Azeroth ordering stewards everywhere to clean up and the Jailer is over in the corner like, “But I’m an artist…this shattered reality is my canvas” and Tyrande is like “nope gotta clean it up Jails”
Why should he care about her? The entire time he was warchief, she was a mortal enemy, her troops killing his troops and vice versa. It’s outta whack.
But, I guess this feel-good, hand-holding togetherness we’re doing now means our heroes have to have fee-fees for the other faction’s heroes. And, while I can understand it, and have some level of appreciation for it, hearing the words come out of his mouth is…jarring, to say the least. Lore-wise. I mean, I could understand it with his “buddy”, Jaina (wink wink, nudge nudge), but Tyrande? Hell no.
She’s too far gone now, anyway. Future raid boss. Calling it now.
