Thoughts on WoW Token in Wrath Classic

Legit players that don’t buy gold, bot, or do GDKP raids are really the ones that this will affect the most. WoW Token was supposedly added to combat bots, which legit players have nothing to do with. This is why so many people are upset.

And you’re not wrong, it’s because it’s far more ‘retail like’ than TBC/Classic were.

I wouldn’t use the RDF but there’s zero reason why it can’t be introduced. I think the TF dungeons are a great idea, but there is absolutely a subset of players that hit 80 that have a very hard task of initially gearing up. Why? Nobody wants to do the dungeons unless they’re TF dungeons, and unless you have friends willing to carry you through the dungeons it’s pretty hard to get a group.

RDF in the context of being able to do the base dungeons at level 80 would be a fine change. For the TF dungeons they added, I think making your own group is still perfectly acceptable IMO.

Can you explain how? You just made a statement with zero context behind it. Why is it going to hurt ‘legit players’, I’m ‘legit’ curious.

Group and raid activities cost virtually nothing, and you don’t need gold to PvP. If you play solo and or play in a guild you’re already insulated from this anyway. Soft reserve pug runs do exist, and last I checked doing the PvP raid in WG is almost exclusively class or spec runs at the very least.

Unless consumable prices jump up by a factor of x5 because of the token being introduced, I just don’t see how it can hurt ‘legit’ players.

Haste pots are already expensive. The real problem will come in ICC with Primordial Saronites.

There is no longer any hope for blizzard. They are dead to us. The end of a miserable, and tragic story of corruption, greed and incompetent. It’s finally over, the last nail in the coffin. The final deathwhail of a sickly creature. Let nothing so evil ever rise from its ashes ever again. Let this sad story die

You said that it’s a neverending fight you can’t win against bots.

You’re wrong.

You had GMs. Just like once upon a time you had playtesters.

You don’t need to automate the detection. You can find them so easily. We are reporting them. You aren’t banning them. They’re so obvious. We are giving them repair bills until their gear is broken and making their pets abandon them.

They make the gameworld barren on many servers. Even early into the season they’re the only ones around sometimes. I saw it several times. So you need to REMOVE SHARDS. Your garbage system is hiding bots from the rest of the playerbase and making the world feel EMPTY just weeks into Season of Mastery!

Most bots are not “toggles” that flip the switch on when they go to work or sleep. They are 24/7 bots that literally never log off and keep doing the same actions. These bot scripts never get updated. They have no security features to prevent detection. They have no “human error” features that make them seem more human. Your banwaves are so slow that they’re still making a profit.

You are being paid too much, reduce the subscription cost if you’re not going to hire a team to perform basic maintenance, because that’s what this is.

It’s been abundantly clear that the developers care EXTREMELY little about community feedback, since at least phase 5 of Vanilla classic. You know - the patch they buffed hunters and Omar left.

Because you’re human and enjoy social interaction from time to time? If I received a message like that the least I’d do is say “sup?”.

Imagine getting twisted over a whisper. lol

Im not getting twisted over a whisper, I myself just dont respond to random whispers cause I couldnt care less to talk to people.

Im just stating that someone not responding to your whisper is not evidence theyre a bot.

You could just make boosting and carries against ToS, it would vastly improve the integrity of the game and combat RMT. Banning max level characters running carries is a lot easier then chasing slews of bots.

Checking for human responsiveness is the second step in determining the status of legitimate player-ship.

The first step is observation/report status, btw.

This. Good chance if you ask me if I am a bot I won’t respond, and if I do it will be to tell you to piss off.

Yeah no. People can report me if I dont respond all they want, it has no indication of being a bot.

You’re missing the point, child.

Blizzard, specifically whoever crafted this post,

Please stop speaking to us as if we are stupid. This has nothing to do with fighting a war against the evils of the gold sellers and their kind lol.

The gold sellers are making money by selling in-game gold. You’re not getting that money. You want your slice of that pie. It’s that simple.

And if you REALLY want to know the truth about what many people believe, it’s that YOU are the ones supplying the gold sellers and possibly running many of those things anyway.

It’s just another opportunity to make money. That is ALL it is.

Do whatever it is you do to make your money, but stop acting like you care about what the game community wants and speaking to us like we’re all too slow to catch on.
