I play wow because I don’t have the twitchy reflexes like we all used to enjoy when we were younger. I enjoy collecting primarily I also do M+/raiding, I barely ever pvp. I really would like to collect the rewards from plunderstorm but I hate playing this style of game. Please allow us to earn these rewards in some other way that is part of the actual game. I can’t stay alive long enough to earn the tiny bit of rep to get the rewards, so it will be a giant frustrating waste of time that I won’t be able to finish because it is a limited time event.
Day 1 - I played 3 games, I was killed in 50th, 46th and ~40 place. It took 3 games to figure out I have to click on the things that pop out of treasure chests. I still don’t know why we are running around opening treasure chests in the pre battle load area, it doesn’t seem to matter at all. I apparently earned some gold but have no idea what I’m supposed to do with it. I have no idea what is happening, I have never played a battle royale game because I do not like them. I’m at renown 2 at the end of day 1, this is horrible but I’m going to give it a few games every day.
Day 2 - I played 2 games this morning, I managed to hit level 2, I see there is a plunder tracker, why is there one… I have no idea. I still have not been able to kill another player, I keep getting knocked out super early in the matches. Players jump me and turn into a fire hurricane or throw arcane orbs at me, once someone put a blackhole on me. I am not getting how or where they are getting these spells I get offered a barrel roll or a shield and that’s pretty much all I’ve seen. The load screen mentions quests, I have not found a single quest so far. I still feel like this is a horrible game mode. 3rd game I found the quest on the right side, get 3 spells, I haven’t been able to finish a quest this whole time. I did stumble across someone standing still with low health so I got my first kill.
Blizzard:

  • If you spend all this time to make a full on game why isn’t there at least a tutorial of some sort?
  • Why can’t I remap keys, these are not the key I’d use on my keyboard to play this game. I don’t play on a controller, it would probably be a better experience on one.
  • stuck at renown 2, why isn’t progress forced when you make a crappy game mode like this, why punish us?

Boycott the rewards, it’s the only way to provide them with actionable metrics, and by posting feedback like this.

Cancel subs hit them in the wallet.

It exists, I don’t really have any strong feelings towards it, I played like 5 matches, got bored and went to play Dishonored again. While I do think the high renown set looks cool, sometimes things just ain’t worth the effort.

I know its annoying not being able to get goodies but I won’t support this thing just to get some digital stuff. To do that promotes the idea and makes Blizzard think that is how our beloved game should go.

Just ignore it, pretend it isn’t there, and play the game as its meant to be played.

Even if I somehow enjoyed it, I wouldn’t progress in renown fast enough to make it worthwhile.

I love the fact that you play this game the way you want. That’s great. Unfortunately, the “high-end” of this game is twitch-reflex.

Seems a little contradictory to say you don’t have the reflexes anymore, yet you raid and do M+. Both are heavily twitch-reflex demanding. Unless of course you do only M+ up to 10 and normal raids. Even then, the rotations and mob/boss mechanics require a degree of finger gymnastics.

I stopped M+ after getting all the portals and got AOTC raiding, if that helps.

Extremely easy to get high placement but doesn’t really matter though

What is considered high placement? I haven’t made it below 40… most of my matches result in no progress.

It reminds me of this episode of the Simpsons where Bart wants to play a game he saw advertised Bonestorm and Milhouse gets it and then is bored with it already cause of how lame it actually was.
