If you’re genuinely interested in running keys, check out this discord group. I joined about a month ago and have only had positive experiences with all the people I’ve run with from there. It’s a good, patient community for all levels of keys. Won’t hurt to at least take a look and see if it’s something you’re interested in trying.
ok and? what percentage of the population is doing that? i could just as easily say people are pushing 30s with no problems in a premade so that means keys must no t be hard. let me ask you this what % of the population is doing that ill give you a hint its very small
What % of people wants to do 300+ M+ each season? yea not many.
Lot just want to get their 8 done and not have to push much if they can.
so basically a tiny percentage of people are able to do something that no one else in the game can and some how that takes away from the skill level of keys. you dont make very much sense lmao
So because not a lot of people got the insane title it should be considered hard?
My very first experience with this discord was a sour one to the point I left it the same day. I wanted to see if anyone was running any keys and had any open slots and was immediately bombarded with ‘JUST RUN YOUR OWN KEY’… When I was just looking to fill a slot if need be.
if it was easy wouldnt everyone have it?
I tried getting in to M+ When it first became a thing. And have made attempts ever since, but each time the constant rushing, even when we have plenty of time, and the vitriol players have for each other in M+ Just made it very unappealing.
Maybe it’s the grind?
Time requirement is not the only measure of difficulty as is the amount of people that clear a content. It could only be mostly tedious.
Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t seen anything like that at all since joining. I don’t know how many keys I’ve pugged through there, but it’s quite a few - both my own and into others. I primarily heal and generally hate just random pugging. That discord group has been great so far, and I don’t worry about solo pugging with folks from there.
Thank you for sharing your experience, though!
sot then you could say it takes a great amount of time and dedication to get that goal and people are not willing to do that. so yes i do think that being that determined is indeed a skill.
I just got tired of them in Legion. Just seemed like a gimmicky chore that I wasn’t interested in.
Memorizing routes, bringing specific classes, stupid effects that have no lore basis and are just coming out of nowhere…
I did it in Legion for specific gear. But I had enough.
I enjoy raiding. There is a lot of people. The bosses and trash have lore and story based effects. It isn’t a big rush, people get water or get the pizza from the delivery guy if they have to.
I don’t know I don’t see someone with the insane title as skilled.
You’re not getting invited in a group for linking me the insane title xd
I think M+ can be hard at certain level, but this season is clearly not as cutthroat as others.
Ah, I like the short amount of time M+ requires compared to raiding. There were some nights where raiding just felt like a slog and I did NOT want to be there but was because I liked the people I was raiding with.
personal opinion
no but if i was doing the insane tittle myself i would listen to them for advice. jsut like how i watch higher rater m+ players for advice in keys.
i think they did an amazing job with m+ this season but to say there isnt alot of skill in higher keys is just being asinine. once you start pushing above 20s you arnt doing it for gear you are doing it to see how far you can go and gear is a much smaller prio.
People over exaggerate their experience, if the same people are complaining about certain types of content, at some point the common denominator his them.
As for mythic + I have never had a bad experience, I have never had someone leave group since I started doing keys in Legion, nor have I ever come across anyone being rude etc.
As for follower dungeons, I did one just for fun, the AI is terrible
My favorite though are people who complain “mythic plus is toxic” with their 750 rating achievements and only playing 1 season.
This is what is most noticeably lacking and could solve some problems. It feels terrible that a missed interrupt, or something similar, can lead to a disaster. It’s good to be able to regroup, discuss what went wrong, and try again.
I don’t think that would have any detriment to the system. You’re spending more time in the dungeon to get it right and it doesn’t mean you’ll actually time it, but it fosters a lot more cooperation and encourages groups to stick together (at least a little bit longer).
I don’t know I just did 24s to get my 8 done. I think you over-estimate how 20s just fall down currently and can be less fun in a decent premade even if gear is your main motivator.
Got too hard for me over the last few years. My wrist hurts like hell and my shoulders tighten up after 30 minutes of playing my butt off. You have to be on the ball and quick as hell as a rogue with ints and cd’s. I just don’t have the reflexes like I used to.
It’s not the game, it’s me. I’m just too old to keep up with you youngin’s anymore.
Youngin’s means anyone under 50 to me lol ![]()
There is a lot going on here.
What size key were you running?
If you didn’t run in to toxicity then it is more than likely the key was too little and no one cares, or you over preformed, or both.
You have to ask yourself what creates this “toxicity”. It’s typically when you join some o e else’s key and you don’t preform to their expectations for their key size.
The expectation is that you keep compatible with other dps, you dodge mechanics, handle affixes etc. if you fail in any of these areas it could lead to what most people call a toxic environment.
But I disagree with this sentiment. Largely due to the fast that when I join a +24 key I know just by signing up they have a degree of expectation, just like I expect the tank or healer to do their job. This is not a written law from blizzard but more a general understanding.
With that being said it’s just like the other day I was running a 24 AD. I die because the tank lost agro. So I said Jesus Christ hold hold agro. You may view that as toxic. Could I have been more friendly, sure. But he was hindering me from meeting the groups expectation.
This tank responded with that wasn’t agro. So I kindly linked the details saying I died from 4 standard melee hits. After that he didn’t say anything, and the rest of the key went well and I never pulled agro the rest of the key.
