"those items will be replaced immediatly"

List your own groups.

That’s the answer.

Obvious troll

well if youre not the only one in that boat you can recruit ppl that are in the same position as you and make it work?

oh you want to go and get invited by ppl that actually did their homework so you can easily follow behind? thats not very ethical

form your own group with your own restrictions if the average trend isnt attainable for you.

10/10 troll if youre trolling. you genuinely look angry LUL

This is the root of why they want LFR gone. The elitist clowns want to control who gets into end game content. This is how they do it. Denying you entry. If they had their way LFR would be gone and you’d never see the raids or higher content so they could feel special again.

The elitist clowns as you so put don’t think about you.

Okay, some flaws here. People keep pointing to min/maxers for the WQ change, but that is NOT the case. Min/Maxers will gladly take more WQs as that’s more shot at easy loot, and they will ignore the WQs that aren’t worth doing. If a crowd were vocal about this change such that Blizz felt they had to react, it stands to reason that it’s going to be the crowd DOING that content as a whole most regularly; this is not min/maxers, this is the casual/world PvE players.

With that out of the way, I’m curious what the ilvl reqs is for the groups you’re frequently seeing. I’ve been super casual this tier and am sitting at 366 from like half the mythics and mostly world quests. Considering full M0 is ilvl 272, and that there are only a few sources of higher level gear even available, I cannot phathom that there are any regular groups requiring close to 272.

I could see the occasional group with reqs closer to my current ilvl, but let’s consider effort to hit that.

First, it is dirt cheap to hit 70 and immediately go straight into 316/340/343 crafted gear. Assuming you are being frugal, 5k gold can easily get you to around 325-333 instantly and with no effort. 5k gold is also a small fraction of the gold you earn from doing the campaign.

At 330ish range, you’ve got random queues for normal dungeons, which drop 346 loot. You also only need 342 to access heroics, which drop 359 ilvl gear.

At 20% loot chance per boss, doing around 8 regular dungeons gives you around 5ish pieces, assuming no trades and some give for variance, with 4-6 being most common.

If any of those drops touch a 316 slot, your average ilvl bumps up by around +2, and my above example assumes around half slots available. Chances are, just by doing each dungeon ONCE at a casual and leisurely pace, even without others giving up loot, and you’re on the door steps to heroic.

Total time so far: around 3-4 hours of actual play, erring to caution. This gives you room for another 2-3 normals to shore the gap to heroic.

At heroic, every drop will be an upgrade at this point. You have the same loot chances as normal, and the dungeons take roughly as long to clear. You’ll gain around 0.8 avg ilvl per upgrade.

For another 3-4 hours, you can reasonably be at around 346 or higher. Bump to 5 hours, and that’s closer to 348-350. Again, with no items being passed to you.

Then, you’ve got world quests which will be around 359-362 ilvl. Rares will also scale to this range.

While you’re unlikely to get a full set of gear this way, it also takes low time investment to do the WQs for a few pieces. And let’s assume you don’t get anything from rares and don’t wish to spend time on them.

From this position, your WQs are going to reliably get you closer to 360. You also have access to FIVE weekly events that have a slightly better than usual scaling.

Assuming you do all five, which takes like an hour or less of actual playtime to bust out, you’ll be seeing 362-365 drops from these sources.

In one week, you’ve spent less than 10 hours of actual playtime, or about 1.5 per day, to hit close to 355-360 range, worst case.

By the second week, you aren’t regrinding norm/heroic dungeons. Between just WQs and the weekly sources, you should be able to hit 360+ easily.

That said, if you still didn’t get into M0s and wanted to be optimal, you would start with heroics again. This time, you may hit your 359 ilvl before touching the other sources. In that case, you’ll see 366-369 items available to you, with the chance to see 272 items if you’re super lucky.

Without any feeds or items passed to you, you can average slightly less than an hour of playtime per day and STILL end up at around a 363-365ish ilvl with nothing more than the gold you got while leveling and doing content that helps you learn the content you wish to target.

And note, this is also the most efficient version of the inefficient path. If you run with friends or guildies or the longer you do runs, the more likely you are to see drops passed to you, and speed everything up.

Good players can do M0s in around 330 gear, and average players are going to want higher.

As a result, I would expect that 352-365 ilvl is a very reasonable range to expect random pugs to be at for M0, given how low time effort it is and given how the average player needs that buffer.

And when you consider that full heroics gear is 359 ilvl, and that even a fully heroic character doing their weekly items and WQs are very likely to get a few ilvl for it, it makes sense that we should expect higher on that range.

357-364 would likely be a more realistic range to expect an average player to be at before taking them at random, given how easy it is to hit that range.

If you’re able to play above your ilvl, just start the M0 groups yourself or join in on world tours, which are people largely in your same boat.

Alternatively, play a healer or tank role instead of DPS. If you’re competing against many times more people in this stage of the season, we ONLY have your ilvl to go on unless everyone has the ability to see your RIO from a prior season of play.

If you aren’t getting groups due to not being attractive enough, you cut the competition by hosting the group, or by performing roles that are played less.

As a healer, M0 will take you as low as 310-315 as a PUG to just avoid the wait xD

Tanks may not get that much love, but the same concept applies

Quit crying

Put some effort into creating your own groups.

If it’s that much of an issue that nobody on your server will take you because of your gear score, run raid finder and gear up

Or… don’t assume the reason. Or, realize if you’re competing for a spot in a group, you need to be competitive. Or, make your own group.

There’s like 418 ways to address your issue. Complaining to the forums isn’t one of them.

Because we like it ???

It’s fun. So I do it.

A better question is why do people rush through everything (regardless of content) like playing this game causes them physical pain.

This is why im in no rush because of this and also what i like won’t be fully out until jan so might as well level up all the classes i like out the gate which is 8 total sure it will take time to get to 70 but im in no hurry at all to busy playing another game on and off anyways.

When you start a group for Mythic dungeons, you don’t have to “lead” them. You don’t have to do anything special as a leader. I always make my own groups so I can go in with low ilvl that I know would be rejected elsewhere lol.

Yup, gonna hard disagree with this one.

You’re told this every rejection? Or is it maybe they have a warrior, need a lust, want a brez, etc? Do you think maybe it’s the character name “Getclapped” that screams “I’m a 14 year old that’s likely to rage quit”?

Also, what has Blizzard done to prevent you from starting your own group? If you do make a group, will you be looking for the lowest ilvl people? What’s your personal decision making progress when forming your own group?

You act like creating and listing groups is reserved for the elites and only the elites. Guess what, anyone can create their own groups. Also, if there’s only 3 DPS slots open and 20 people who apply for it then how many get declined?

Stop trying to play the victim.

You’re assuming too much. My Rogue is 375 and got declined to 6 groups before getting in 1 yesterday. People decline for a lot of reasons, and you generally have no idea what they are.

People decline simple from the class you play ext .

I dont get it tbh; Im pretty new to retail and have completed 3 m0 world tours already.
This is a 2004 issue solved simply by just “forming your own group”

hit level 70
/g “hey who wants to do m0s?”
ez solutions for ez problems.

Or you could just, like, start your own group…

Why dont you try making some friends instead of complaining.
