This Week in WoW

There needs to be far better communication that what is being given by Blizzard and WoWHead. We have now learned that transmog will not be free, but instead will be a Slot based system, where you will not have to mog a new piece. You will still have to pay to change your outfit…which is only half of what the Base has been asking for.

This is why I hereby suggest that The WoW Devs do what Bungie does.

THIS WEEK IN WOW

I propose that every week, on a specific day such as Thursday, the Bnet Launcher, these forums, reddit, and your Social Media have links to a new article, This Week in WoW.

For example, it could be Today. Instead of us learning about the Slots feature instead of Free mogs from a forum post because Skalpy looked at WoWHead before I did, I would have read the article first thing, and learned about it from the primary source.

It will be filled with reminders about ending events, class and ability tuning and design philosophy, tmog and screenshot competitions, fan art highlights, but most importantly, known issues and Support.

Bungie is having its issues, and Sony is going to subsume it soon…but the one thing I have always liked about them is how in depth the TWAB is.

WoW Devs, Blizzard, Ion, check this out, and tell me the player base would not benefit from this: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/twid_08_14_2025

They have one

Thats last weeks (this weeks… 5 days ago :stuck_out_tongue: )

:fist_right: :fist_left:

Yes, but that is not in depth enough. The second thing in that is telling you to watch the release, which had not much information and lead to the misinformation reported by WoWHead. It also ends with information about MoP Classic.

We need far more communication by the devs themsevles, about retail WoW only, delving into not only what is changing, but the whys as well. We need more than a little blue blurb in a patch note.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely hate Wowhead’s website. I hate being directed there and I hate having to read anything off that god forsaken site. The homepage is mind bogglingly cluttered and overwhelming to look at. You have to sift through layers of useless crap like the Beladar light/void cycle to find the news articles. And Why is Diablo news on Wowhead? It’s also laggy, chalk full of ads, and pages take long to load. Eughhh I hate that website.

I use Ublock Origin, so I have no ads. I also have an account so I can change what games I am being shown, but I do agree with you. For someone without my tools and account, it would be hell.

Shame, wish it was free. At least dial down the cost. No need for ‘‘choices’’ all the time… sometime I wanna flip flop on different fits… thats like 500-800 gold here and there… ok there bub.

And it’s almost always just vague bullet points put together in 2 minutes.
