Imagine if every spec in WoW had to toolkit of a rogue, the vast amount of CC options, defensives, reset capability etc. I wonder what the game would look like.
It’d be pretty awful. Nothing would ever die and we’d just have 80% dampening games every match. But current mage and rogue design doesn’t justify other toxic things like craven.
It’s big for me. Do you know how hard it it to punish a hunter running stratagem as a dot class? I had 15 seconds from the time they would FD to put up all dots and pop cds to even attempt a kill. Toss in a healer dispelling between the 15 second Window and it was literally impossible to kill them.
I only got a kill on a hunter if they lined their healer AND wasted FD on something trivial AND the healer was locked down. That’s an awful lot of conditions that needed to be met just to land a kill, don’t you think?

I never said Craven was justified home slice, what isn’t justified is removing craven and not touching any defensives of Hunter. Hunter self healing is absolute trash compared to every spec in the game, exhil is literally the only “heal” a hunter has and it’s 30% on a 2min CD.
Truthfully if they brought back original Spirit beast heal and made the spirit beast pet available to all Hunters this would help a lot. But the point is they have gutted Hunter toolkit to the point that they thought they needed to add a broken AF legendary (Craven) just to keep up in this expansion of one shots.

Doesn’t really matter when 2 of your specs can kite the entire game and pillar peek to minimize damage.
Hunter toolkit is far from gutted what on earth are you even on about. Not to mention cravens still good, it just requires you to actually have to think about the timing to use it. You don’t get to play for free anymore.

Oh pillar peaking? You mean like EVERY ranged class can do. Ok so that point of yours is out the window. Your argument is because Hunter can LOS then pop out of LOS and do damage they don’t need any sort of self healing.
That is laughable and you should be ashamed of your opinions lol. Point number 2: Hunter toolkit is ABSOLUTELY gutted when compared to most other classes in the game (barring maybe Fury warrior who just Zugzugs with 40% MS). Why do you think BM is so faceroll? Because the toolkit of hunter is so dumbed down we have literally no buttons as BM.
Lets look at everything Hunter has lost over the years: Spirit Beast heal (gutted), Readiness (removed, this was massive considering it gave us two charges of defensives), every pet ability that was actually useful (spider pet stun, monkey banana throw etc).
At this point a hunter has Turtle Shell (you’ll maybe get 1 off in an arena), Exil (You MIGHT get 2 off in an arena), Feign (now 25 seconds, yes still good but doesn’t stop cleave damage whatsoever), Pet Sac (protects only against CRITS, this isn’t even a wall), oh wait Hunter does have a wall I forgot, a 20% damage reduction wall on a 3 minute CD.
Now which of these that I mentioned was self healing? Tell me a class in this game currently that can’t heal for ATLEAST 80% of the damage it is outputting (whether it is passive healing or active abilities).

Reducing the damage of incoming abilities isn’t the only way to defend

Oh wow yea that’s such a great insight to WoW PvP. Holy crap kiting damage, why didn’t any Hunter ever before think to do this? Must be all other classes only know about this super secret glad level skillset…LOL.
Tell me about how kiting in this expansion of infinite mobility from any cleaves helps. My god, this dude actually said “kite more”.

I don’t know why classes keep thinking every Hunter wants the Craven nerf reversed lol. My original comment stated Craven was absolutely busted.
Try harder, being the way you are here makes it easy to laugh at you
No need to try and make you look like a lower class citizen.
You lost mana. You can’t be kicked on aim shot anymore.
You lost the hunter “dead zone”. So you still get to do uninterruptible damage even when being sat on.
You lost arrows. You never need to worry about those anymore… 
You’re right, hunters HAVE lost a lot over the years.

Things come and go. Everyone gets nerfed and buffed. This nerf won’t matter next xpac anyway. It won’t even matter once the prepatch drops.
I’d call it a W for keeping it this long.
If we are judging Hunter off the past two expac, I don’t have much hope for the class in the next expac. Unless the talent trees they come up with are just vastly different from the garbage they give Hunters now.
Craven cd woulda made sense if it didn’t immune EVERY magical debuff and some non magical ones
