It’s possible that person is very social/sexting a lot, and so they don’t need to actually GO anywhere. They just sit and chat any time they are logged in.
In the first MMO I played, a friend of mine was the GM for a small/medium sized guild, but they were all INSANELY talkative. He left all the organizing and “doing” events to other people, he just sat in one place and talked to people. So to outsiders not reading any of that chat, all you see is a guy standing there. Seemingly doing nothing.
Meanwhile, he has to type 90 wpm just to keep up with all the discussions going on.
In MMOs, never assume that just because an avatar is standing there doing nothing… that they’re standing there doing nothing. That is often not the case. 
But but… you could get TWO coffees for that price!!!
